Does anyone think that if Danny O'Brien come here, our team chemistry will go up in flames?

Did you see the Bowl Game against Houston? What team chemistry?

Fistfights in the locker room, inability to throw screen passes, taking sacks instead of feeling the pressure and escaping from the pocket, 39% completion....I will take my chances with Danny.

...and if you're not down with that, then I got 2 words for ya.."suck it!!"

Do you mean the team chemistry that sent McGloin to the hospital and resulted in a screaming match between the former QB coach and the defensive players?

    Up in flames? Probably.

Players want to win it was noted blow ups by some players on D about which QB to put in having a solid guy wont cause those problems any longer.

    Huh?....

Heck no... We get about 20-25 new players every year and the team has to form a chemistry..

Getting a great QB and leader can only help team chemistry... I am not worried in the least about that.

That is like saying I am not going to recruit a 5* QB as it might disturb the team chemistry as our current QB may not like it - I don't get this disturbing chemistry line of thinking at all...

A "great " QB? Let's slow down a little. O'Brien may be better than what we have, but "great" would be a little bit of a stretch in most people's opinion.

That being said, he should start from day one, but cool it a little on the hype.

Let me preface this by saying DOB would be the best QB on PSU's campus once he steps foot on campus. He should be the outright starter for two years and that by a country mile. He alone probably turns two games in which I would have been predicting as a loss on the upcoming schedule into wins. He certainly wouldn't screw with the team chemistry - especially when you consider our returning defensive players probably aren't fans of Bolden based on his play and the fact McGloin got the tar beaten out of him by a teammate and he isn't that good too boot.

That said, DOB isn't a WOW factor. He could be efficient as heck, but he isn't a Russell Wilson type. Anyone expecting Wilson type impact will be disappointed.

  • So we all agree that DOB is an instant upgrade. We won't be sniffing a national title next year, but he quite possibly makes us worthy of a trip to the B1G Title game, maaaaaybe a BCS game. I'm excited.

57% isnt exactly "efficient as heck."

PSU target Ryan Switzer has been timed with a 3.88 3-cone drill and a 6.7 20-yard shuttle. The top times at the 2012 NFL Combine: 3.90, 6.50

All I can say is wow. I think this kid is very underrated.

Yeah I agree. I can't wait to see an update where it says some of our commits are talking to Johnson... He is a stud and I think would be the top OL that we are after... Hopefully soon that happens.

    Not all agree.

I think we're all selling Paul Jones short here. As long as he is eligible I really think he has a great shot this year. "As we stand, right now, as we stand here today" he's eligible. We'll see soon enough I guess.
