I just hope all of the recruits this weekend get that feel from him.

@Kunk7: I've got "sources" that say Charlie Fisher (previoiusly with real Miami) will be PSU's new QB coach.

    CHARLIE FISHER

    Passing Game Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach

Charlie Fisher begins his first year on the Miami coaching staff, having been named passing game coordinator on Jan. 14. He will coach the quarterback and wide receiver position groups.

Fisher spent the last nine seasons at Vanderbilt, serving as wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator. He also mentored the Commodores' running backs during the 2002 and 2003 seasons.

Before joining Vanderbilt, he served two years as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Temple and had a two-year stint tutoring North Carolina State receivers, including likely NFL Hall of Famer Torry Holt.

Fisher's background also includes a successful tenure as head coach at West Georgia from 1993-97. While there, he led the Division II Braves to a 36-17 overall record. He also served as an offensive coach at Lenoir-Rhyne (N.C.) College from 1985-90.

Fisher played quarterback and wide receiver from 1977-80 at Springfield (Mass.) College. He also lettered as a shortstop in baseball. He earned his B.S. in physical education. Fisher earned a M.A. in sports management from Eastern Kentucky in 1984. He has served as a grad assistant at both EKU and Ole Miss.

Fisher and his wife, Julie, have two sons: Brian and Brett.

...and if you're not down with that, then I got 2 words for ya.."suck it!!"

  • Many players have noted it's a nice morning weather wise in State College. This practice is open to the media.

Fitz2 has been in shorts and a tshirt the entire time (it's 35 degrees), I believe per Tony Mancuso.

If you follow them, Nate Bauer and Ben Jones have had some pictures. I can't post them at the moment.

One was of Justin Brown wrestling another player.

I saw the pictures on Twitter, Fitz2 is THE man. Workouts seem insane and I'm glad we finally have coaches that are intense. I also saw on Twitter that Curtis Drake was there working out this morning.

I hope he can keep his nose clean, cause with the new offense coming in, this would be a pretty stupid time for him personally to transfer or get kicked off the team.

  • Thank you Andrew for posting those pictures.

The wrestling and the Zordich vs. Hodges thing is awesome. It brings the squad together as they would be supporting each other. Very cool.

That's flat out insanity, does he sleep at all? Are we sure he's not slipping away to fight crime before his workout? ninja

I noticed that O'Brien commented on the morning run, is he allowed to observe some workouts?

I thought Breneman wasn't coming until next Friday? Or is he only staying today and can't stay for the Junior Day tomorrow? I feel out of the loop.
