Does anyone think if we bring in o'brien that it will affect Hack's recruitment? Also, what are the chances that bolden transfers if we get him? It's pretty much BO'B saying there's no confidence in the current depth chart. McGloin doesn't have the eligibility left to make a transfer worthwhile IMO.

No on Hack....they would only overlap 1 year which would likely be a redshirt year for Christian anyway. Probably pretty good on the Bolden front if ever plans on seeing the field again as a collegiate athlete.

McGloin doesn't have the talent to make a transfer worthwhile, despite the fact that he feels like he is a D1 caliber QB.

McGloin thinks he is a Brett Favre clone. Prob. even sends pics to a media member too.

  • I seriously doubt it would effect hack one way or another. If he comes on board then his absolute last year (2014) would be Hackenberg's first. It may actually help our cause. If Bolden transfers as a result of Obrien coming in, it frees up another hurdle for hack.

Actually's DOBs last year of eligibility would be 2013 and that would be Hacks first year of eligibility, not 2014. I'm rooting hard for DOB, would be a huge difference in the Win column with him under center.

Think of it this way, PSU was a DOB type of QB away last year from being in the Big 10 title game. He alone flips the Nebraska outcome.

Idk that first half was affected by other outside news stuff going on. Maybe it's a win. But I don't think it's that guarantee

A little mad about Alosi, really liked his film at DT... But I will trust the staff here of course. Maybe he cracks the 2 deep? Belton makes sense and I'd imagine him being a hybrid in BOB's system. Makes sense that we are probably going to be taking one RB... I dunno though. Belton could be a playmaker like Whitehead for us... Royer has been mentioned. And Refice, I have no clue who he is...

  • I dig the Woodhead comparison here, similar stature but Belton is definitely thicker than Danny. I'll be interested to see if they still allow Belton to take some direct snaps.

Being at the OSU game last year, Drake looked a lot more effective taking those snaps but I love the package and hope they keep it

Looks like a nice group is gathering so far and the list is growing with some big prospects. I'm sure it will be covered in detail in the next S Zone

I saw a tweet earlier in the night from Ryan Snyder I believe that said two 4 star prospects from Eastern PA will be visiting PSU that weekend. I'm assuming Breneman is one of them. Hopefully the other one is David Williams.

  • You may be right would you consider AB an eastern PA 4 star would think that fits David Williams and McGlinchey more.

I'm hoping for McGlinchey and David Williams.

I don't think he'd include Breneman in that teaser...

Would be fun to see the Bench/Hack interaction around Breneman. Watch the two compete for their new TE off the field.
