The absurdity that is Penn State is hell-bent on permanently changing PSU football traditions, nickle and dime, to the name of political correctness. Even though NO ONE would have even realized that these things were remotely polically incorrect until Penn State actually removed them.
PSU Rocks was probably my favorite pre-game and in-game tradition. Every school in America uses some version of it...but we will no longer use it because the author did some bad things a very long time ago.

I wish it was a decision left to the coaches and fans, and I wish it wasn't a decision that was driven by a faux football scandal.
Personally, I thought they overplayed Sweet Caroline by a million times. Once a game is enough.

Pretty sure the next act the BOT will make will be to revise the Alma Mater to remove the line about "when we stood at childhood's gate".
In all honesty, I am happy they are removing Sweet Caroline as it never belonged at PSU as a "tradition"...leave that to the Redsox

whoever downvoted em for this comment can *EDIT: LANGUAGE* zombie nation music is way better, but while we are busy taking away things that the student section enjoys and signs along to ohio state is adding stuff to the student section, id rather gain something then take something away

Agree! i could care less about the song itself--but where does it all stop! Are you f'n kidding me! PLEASE for the love of GOD can someone in the position to stop giving into the masses stand up for PSU. If you want to stop playing the song fine-but not for that reason. I didnt or most all of us never were child molesters, one man was-period! This garbage better stop. I guess I should turn in my badge because of some police officers who dont hold up the integrity of wearing one.
And while Im ranting-I dont think the ribbon is necessary either for the players to wear. They did not do anything to anyone. While they are connected because of the circumstances-they dont need to be related to this incident. the reminder will always be there-whether these young men want or not. Let them play football for the school they love-thats it!!
