Thanks for posting. Awesome tweets. +1

I'd be lying to you if I said I didn't want Robert Foster here and while it's disappointing to see him all but eliminate us from consideration, I'm OK with that. Let him go to Pitt or Alabama. He will thrive wherever he ends up and frankly, we aren't in a position to land all of the big fish from PA quite yet. Maybe in a few years but building relationships on the recruiting trail takes time. Foster will be a 3 and out guy wherever he ends up and maybe that isn't what PSU wants/needs right now.

We have landed some big fish from PA (AB), but we have yet to land the big fish from Pittsburgh. That is concerning to me, but I guess I underestimated just how badly the bridges were burned by the previous staff in the region... London and LJ have some work to do...

Other than our LBs, that's pretty realistic.

Yes it is. Hodges and Hill got pretty bad ratings though. Hodges easily should have been a 90 rated player.

    Agreed.

They typically do snub PSU DL though, and LBs. They had Still as an 84 last year as well IIRC.

You can downvote me all you want... Fact is, we struggle getting Pittsburgh kids... I am from the area. Its a fact. And we have work to do to fix whatever it is that makes kids from the area ignore us as a possibility.

LOL. Yes. Yes I believe he did.

Back to ratings... I dont think there are many fullbacks in the country better than Zordich. I believe he is very low and should at least catch an 80 there. Course thats about all he could catch... but his athletic ability/blocking/power running/special teams ANIMAL deserves a higher rating.

I don't care who breaks a story first (ie, a commitment). With social media it will be public in the matter of minutes anyway. I want someone who can provide consistent valuable, correct information regarding where recruits stand in their recruiting process. This is much more important to me than first to the gun.

Absolutely. I agree 100 percent with this.

I'm not sitting on the internet hitting refresh every 20 seconds so if one comes out a few minutes earlier than the other who cares. As long as its correct thats all I care about.

This is very true. I'm also from the Pittsburgh area and for some reason kids just dont hold PSU in high regards.

As sad as it is Pitt is seen as the flashy & popular school for some unfathomable reason. Kids know Larry Fitzgerald & Revis went there, 2 very high profile players (by the nature of their positions) and see that as "swag". They see flashy offensive players that put up gaudy numbers against abysmal Big East defenses & think Pitt is actually good (ex: LeSean McCoy, Deon Lewis, Ray Graham, & Jonathan Baldwin) and has "swag".

All while PSU consistently cranks out Linebackers, D-linemen, and other great players that play at lower profile positions. Let's face it, we haven't exactly been a top QB or WR producing school or had offensive weapons excel in the NFL. Plus todays youth never exactly saw Joe getting carted around in a golf cart or sitting in a press box as someone who lead a program with "swag". Penn State's conservative, yet highly effective offenses in contrast to Pitt's flashy, but inconsistent & mostly mediocre offenses has led Pittsburgh kids to say "Why care about PSU when I've got a hometown school that has more swag?"

Unfortunately with kids today (and especially Pittsburgh kids for some reason), it's all about the "swag" factor. There are a few rays of light however- most notably Justin King & Miles Deiffenbach
