    There are things in there that make me confident in his commitment, and things that worry me. NC-Nit is right - we need to get him on campus and solidify his verbal. I've got a feeling the coaches know that just as much as we do.

    The one thing that I think we have in our favor right now probably more than any other school that might attempt to poach him... Is that our depth chart in the secondary is so absolutely pathetic. If he is a fraction of the play-maker he appears to be in his film then he is going to come in and play very quickly.

    I also liked the comments about FSU not being placed on a pedestal if they offered. Sort of the opposite of comments that had been made by guys like Brandon Bell... who basically said that if PSU came calling they would immediately get top billing.

  • I don't know if we're "eliminated," but we're not in the top 7 as of now, which would seem to be essentially the same thing.

  • I didn't even know Sparty was a consideration... Good work by them.

    Of those seven options, here's hoping he goes to Oregon. Keep him away from OSU/UM and another dagger to Pitt. USC doesn't need any more talent and at Oregon, hopefully he can help them beat USC.

    I was never sold on him from the begining. Doesn't seem like a PSU type kid. It's his loss anyway, how could you not want to work with two NFL coaches that coached some great receivers in the NFL.

  • This is a kid who has always played it close to the vest. I am a bit surprise to see us out of the top 7 as he is a kid from PA and would be curious what his reasons would be. Either way though, I always like to wish the PA kids good luck wherever they end up as long as they are making a decision which is what they feel is in their best interests.

    I remember him and D. Cox being close, at least on twitter. IIRC, Cox was trying to push hard for him to go the MSU spring game.

    Agreed. Just by his last two tweets you can tell he's not the best PSU fit. IMO he ends up with the Crimson Tide.

  • Anzalone has apparently canceled his trip to OSU on his way back from ND. Maybe there's a conflict with his schedule or maybe he's thinking about commiting to ND and there's no reason to visit OSU. Regardless, glad he cancelled his trip to OSU.

    I don't know about the whole thinking of committing deal but I have a feeling this is very similar to Noah Spence last year. Something happened and a school he was heavily interested in (commitment in AA's case) wasn't in the running anymore. AA's plans might not align but JMO I don't think he considers them anymore.
