EPL relegation rules are awesome. Makes the Bolton/Stoke game matter. Also motivates QPR vs City.
Wish MLB had the same. Pirates and Padres should have been relegated to AAA a long time ago.

BUT, the problem being the USA has no independetly owned minor leagues in the three major sports.
Football and basketball choses to use colleges as "minor leagues." Baseball minor leagues are run by MLB teams.

Nutty, unreal finish to the season. Still some madness ahead w the CL final determining fates of CFC and Spurs. Important matches later in Italy and Spain as well. Should dictate the availability of certain high profile transfer targets like Falcao, Cavani, and Sneijder.

What a finish! I was calling for Dzecko as a sub for most of the game.
Seeing the look on SAF's face was "priceless!"

It was surprising because I was, you know, actually watching the match when Dzeko and Kun brought them back. Told my brother when it was 2-1 and they brough Balotelli on, if City pulled even they were going to knock home the winner. Didn't see it happening like that though. Just amazing stuff.

Here's a question for someone who might know, do they have two separate trophies? It can't be like the Stanley Cup because it would have been on its way north to present it to United before having to turn around and get back to Manchester.

There are two trophies every year. The 'official' trophy and a replica that the club keeps. If there are two teams involved on the final day, they send one to each of the sites. If a team boasts the replica on the final day, the 'official' trophy will be present for the following day's parade. I'm not quite sure what they would do if 3 teams were ever in contention on the final day.

Scheduled that way in anticipation that one of the major Spanish powers would be involved in both matches. There are actually several other games on Sunday...Coppa Italia Final as well as the finale of the French Ligue 1 season. UEFA shortened their season by a week in anticipation of Euro's. The individual domestic leagues/cups are under no obligation to do the same thing. La Liga did condense their league schedule, which involved more midweek league fixtures late in the season as opposed to last year. That schedule, combined with the CL semis, left no midweek availability for the CDR Final. It's an odd season for scheduling with UEFA matches, but typically Ligue 1 and Coppa Italia finish the Sunday after the CL Final anyways.

July 22: vs. PSG at Yankee Stadium in NYC
July 25: vs. MLS All-stars at PPL Park in Philadelphia
July 28: vs. Milan in Miami
Make sure to list the "Philly Blues Supporters Club" in the first drop-down box. There is no cost to join this club. Once you register, send me a PM with your name and which event(s) you'd like to attend. If you want multiple tickets for an event, each individual's name who will be attending MUST be included, and they MUST register individually to the Supporters Club site.
I'm compiling a list to send to the Group chairman for tickets. They will be distributed straight from Chelsea, but anyone whose name isn't registered or submitted in advance will not be granted a ticket. Deadline is May 24. I will definitely be attending the MLS AS Game, and I'm still unsure about NYC.

Martinez would be a great hire. He is a terrific manager, anyone who can keep Wigan in the EPL for so long is something special.
