Newsflash:
Philly played awful tonight, and just as they had a great matchup vs Pittsburgh, the matchup vs NJ is not so great.
Philly was just absolutely horrific in the 2nd and 3rd.

correct.
Bryz was damn good IMO, the Devils easily...EASILY could have had 5 or 6 goals by 2nd intermission. Bryz just got ZERO help from the offense, and eventually the dam broke.

No argument there. Bryz was the only reason they were in the game tonight. Couldn't do much about the goals either, they were not soft.

Lundqvist got a few lucky breaks the 1st game with post shots (Semin's comes to mind). As a couple of articles put it, the puck bounced for the Rags in Game 1 and for the Caps in Game 2. So far that's been the difference maker in the series. Pretty evenly matched teams and if the Caps can play smart defensively and Holtby continues to play sharp, they'll be tough to beat at home

Never thought I'd hear anybody say that after the first round.
I think he should've saved the first goal by Larsson. Not a routine save by any means, but the guys who are being paid top dollar need to make those ones.

Brian Boyle stops a Semin one timer with his face to make sure Rags/Caps goes to double OT.
Talk about a redemption story. He's become quite the NHLer since the Kings stopped jerking him between center and defense, eventually giving up on him and throwing him away.
Edit: And in the middle of the 2nd OT Boyle keeps the game going by blocking Rupp's shot at a wide open net. He better hope that doesn't come back to bite him in the ass.

TRIPLE OT!!!
And Rinne has been unbelievable in the other game. He stood on his head for a solid minute or two of nonstop pressure, making some incredible saves just a few minutes ago.

So i was drunely tetxting my budya about the game and he told me to Ryab mcdonough was at like 60 mins played. I told him he was a frekaing idiot. now i realize, holy shit, kid is just on the ice at all times.

53 minutes for McDonagh and 49 minutes for Staal. Rangers basically played with 4 defensemen... i am really liking the extra day of rest now
