No one cares about hockey in LA. I think the Rags get bounced tomorrow in Ottawa. Boston - have no clue.

I'm sure there would have been alot of viewers in Seattle if Vancouver advanced. Vancouver is an intriguing team that hockey fans in the U.S. would watch.

The Flyers just draw viewers. They always seem to be involved in the most watched winter classic, regular season or playoff game. As a Flyer fan I can't explain the allure of the franchise. I think we just have a large fanbase do to the impact of the Broad Street Bullies.

its the jerseys. tough to stay away from the orange haha. and now they get to watch the best player in the NHL to go along with them.
as far as watching them in the past i dont know. philly is a large market, 4th? biggest market in US, so theres that. but the broad street bullies thing follows them around too so people watch to see the expected fights i guess

Some encouraging numbers from Nashville. they had a 400% increase in game one viewership over last years game #1. The # of tv sets for game 5 in the Nashville market was a record. These are important because the NHL needs to increase share in the weaker markets for overall long term success, IMO.

Team Hank in major trouble. They're not made to play from behind. A second goal by the Sens would put a huge amount of pressure on the Rags.

No, they aren't. I havent' watched this, but how is Gaborik doing? As he goes, so does the Rangers.
A rangers loss, really opens the doors for the Flyers.

His positioning has been exquisite so far from what I've seen.

I hate goalie interference, it's the worst called penalty in the NHL. It has to be there, but the refs are horrendous at properly spotting it.

Agreed.
It's gotta be Quick thus far. Carried his team to an 8 vs 1 upset and allowed only 2.1 GPG to Van.
I think Giroux has been the best in the East, but Quick gets the nod overall.

Doesn't really matter who anyone says, the Conn Smythe goes to the MVP of the cup winner almost every year (save a goalie playing terrific hockey and losing a very close Cup).

Ugly boarding by the Hawks, Rosival down and bleeding, Hayes gets a game misconduct and a 5 minute boarding major. 11 minutes left and down by 2 - this much time shorthanded will probably end their season.

Smith stole the series. The guy has come along way from being only average. Sean Burke has done a great job with Smith. They don't miss Bryz whatsoever.
Phoenix secondary scoring did the damage in the series. Vermette, Boedker, Pyatt, Brule did the damage. they need to get Whitney and Doan going.

Not sure I agree. Nashville or St. Louis are better than any team in the east right now. Phoenix could easily give the East winner a run.
