Just curious, to what extent do you guys oversign in NCAA12? My classes tend to be small (i focus a lot of hours on the blue-chippers, then try to fill the rest of the class out), but I still catch myself oversigning from time to time.
I complain about it really loudly in real life, but privately do it in the video game... is that hypocritical?
Haha, I have a Penn State dynasty going this past year I had 9 Ships to play with which turned into about 11 with a few leaving early. I signed a full class of 25 made up of all 4 and 5 stars. I also had to cut 15 players, which I usually go for older players either who I just dont like anymore or guys that are buried in the depth chart and wont ever help my team out. I feel bad about doing it but I just am addicted to getting the top players every year because they are so many interested.
I normally sign a full 25 every year. I then "cut" the guys who are juniors/seniors and have been passed up by underclassmen on the depth chart. I know it's the SEC style of things but for some reason I don't have a problem landing blue chip recruits. I almost always have 4-6 five star guys and the rest are 4 star and I normally finish with a three star or two and some walk-ons.
One of my biggest complaints about the NCAA series is that they refuse to keep the scholarship limit be 85 (like in real life). It's too hard to have the depth needed to develop sleepers on say the offensive line when you can only have a three deep roster. I usually sign 25 and cut people too.

I try to justify over signing because of the 70 man roster. Typically i cut non competitive juniors and seniors, then chop off a few from the bottom of the ratings list, then go through position by position to finish off the cuts.
Same here. The 70 man roster is problematic. The other issues is that I happily sign 20 kids, and then the computer randomly gets 4 or 5 more commitments. I keep the recruiting assistant on because at some point I'll give up on some kids, and then the RA has others percolating for me to recruit.
I've been playing more though, for some reason. The one thing that's really pissing me off about the game is how bad interior lineman can be. Indiana got like, 8 sacks on me because my two guards and centers get beaten within 1 second and the DT just comes up and decks me.

Agreed, my biggest complaint is the inconsistent pass protection on offense.
Even with a top 5 team, I get sacked at least 4 times a game. I have to run quick slants or 4-5 yard routes all the time because I never have enough to pass.
