That's my primary concern at this point is that if the Freeh report is as focused on the Athletic Department and rolling this all up on them as suggested, what is the potential blow back from the NCAA. {Insert comment that NCAA has no business in this, and whatever}. If the NCAA wants to get involved, they will find a way to do so.

Is the University willing to roll the dice on possible the possible NCAA investigation by putting this all on the Athletic Department/Football program? It would be a very unwise move in my opinion.

The issue is already out there (and blowing over for now) as a University wide--including the Athletic Department--problem that needs correcting. If the Freeh report confirms this, then it will be a blip on the news for a couple of days/weeks at best. If the University cuts off its nose to spite its face and rolls it back on the athletic department, it will be last Fall all over again and revenues across the University will suffer.

I'm yet to see 1 reason why the NCAA could sanction PSU for the actions of a retired coach who was authorized to use the athletic facilities, not by the coach, but by the administration.
