I'll be graduating the police academy in November doing consortiums and would love any help along the way.

I'm retired from the NYPD, living in town, and among many other things I have an active PI license. I'm somewhat plugged into the PD sitch in town, and I'd be happy to help you if I hear about openings, etc. I assume you're in PA?

  • If anyone interested in working in Southern California (aka enemy territory) hit me up! I may have some things on the real estate investments side.

  • Not a PSU grad or even graduated yet (Sophomore) but I would be interested in an internship in south central Pa. If anyone can help me out or knows of anything, I would greatly appreciate it.

BTW, great thread, especially in these tough times.

RWC...Vandy has an excellent post-graduate course for Finance majors. My nephew attended and is now working in NYC. You should seriously think of MBA before treking to NYC. Just sayin'

    Cheers!

  • My fiance is a tech, marketing, and sales recruiter in the Philly area for several companies, if anyone would like her email to send a resume, PM me...she'd be happy to help out.

  • Great idea... I graduated in 2011 and it is difficult to find job. I'm working for a pharmaceutical sales company in Scranton, and if I refer someone you're garunteed an interview. Not hiring right now, but will post if/when something comes up.

  • If you know a nurse in the Denver area, or wants to move here, let me know and I can hook them up. Hired a Lion 2 months ago!

Hey Sheapac, I emailed you a while ago on this. Let me know if you didn't get it. I'm really looking to make a move back to SoCal. I'm an attorney in Vegas right now.

  • Not sure how much this thread might help, given my specialization. Plan on graduating with a Ph.D in mechanical engineering this August. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to talk about an opening or discuss what my specialization is.

  • 2006 PSU grad (Accounting). Work on my MBA.

Since graduation I've been a financial planner dealing with acquisitions, budgeting, forecasting, managing operational expenses, and providing direction and analysis to the organization.

I reside in the York, PA area. Shoot me a PM for any follow ups.

If winning was easy even losers would do it.

  • Love this idea. I think it's a wise move.

I just started a new position about a month ago as an Operations Systems Manager. My boss didn't graduate from PSU but he is a NLC member and football season ticket holder of 25+ years. Most of my co-workers are PSU fans too - one is an alum from 2010, a year after I graduated from PSU. 1 ND fan in the building I work in who already jokingly poluted my room with ND garbage over top of my PSU stuff I have up already. haha

    I'm a 2009 graduate with a B.S. in Information Sciences and Technology.
I'm currently working towards obtaining my Master's Degree in Information Sciences through the World Campus.

What about non PSU grads that are just huge PSU fans. I would give anything to relocate back to the PA area and my new job that I started in February is not working out. Independent outside sales rep for a medical device (test equipment) company. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have some great Med Device connections up here in CT. Just recently turned down an offer to join J&J as a specialist in their medical energy device sales force. The one thing the manager told be that stood out to him was that I was a PSU grad - supposedly J&J likes that.

Shortly after I graduated I was working for Norvartis in Scranton(have since moved to CT after living my whole life in NEPA). That Scranton market is tough, especially in the Pharma arena.

  • This is an excellent idea. I work for a large Medical Device company. We are always looking for quality Penn Staters across the spectrum, but my focus is on the sales side. Very good jobs with high pay and great stability. If we post a jobs board I would love to utilize it. I can help get interviews for open positions around the country, but I am focused in the NE and have more control here.
