Decent, but I'm waiting patiently for some real war scenes. Should be interesting with the feuding Barathian brothers being added to the mix.

Liked it, but the abrupt way they introduced Stannis, Davos, and the Lady in Red had to confuse some people who haven't read the books. Love seeing the books come to life on screen, but the pace can make me a little impatient. :-)

As someone who hasn't read the books I don't mind the way they introduce characters, as long as you pay attention they always give out just enough info without making it so obvious.

Enjoyed it, its amazing how so many people know about the romance between Jamie and Cersei (Joffrey's mom). Did Joffrey order a mass killing of babies ?

I picked up book 1 from my buddy after tonight's episode. With finals coming up, it might take a while to catch up, but hopefully I can get there towards the middle of the season.

This is on my list of shows to watch. I have every channel, but HBO. So I guess I have to rent or buy from the store.

Pretty certain he did, or at least that's what it seemed like.
I guess people know, but have been too afraid to bring it up because of the family's influence? Power is power, and the Lannister's are powerful.

Did I miss something, but why did they kill all the children ? I know they were looking for Arya, but she was not a baby or a boy & they killed those at the end of the episode.

Joffrey ordered that all of his supposed father's bastard children be killed. The blacksmith apprentice, who is with the runaway Stark daughter, is the only one they couldn't find.

There were killing all of the bastard sons of the deceased king so no one else could lay claim to the throne. The blacksmith's apprentence is one of them but he got away.
I'm a big fan. But we have a long way to go and it isn't going to go exactly the way you might expect.

IMO there's no way Arya and the blacksmith apprentice make it to the wall. A Lannister or someone is going to intercept them mid-trip, or the two of them are going to return to King's Landing for some reason. It is just pointless to have them journeying up to the wall.

This...fortunately, my girlfriend has finished the book series and was able to explain it to me. I've been wanting to read the books but haven't gotten to them yet.
I liked the episode...the game is upon us.
