It seems unfortunate that many of these are too late to the party. ESPN seems to have a stranglehold on sports channels, and given what they charge cable companies to carry each ESPN channel, their money isn't going away any time soon.
This is just whimsical thinking based on what I wished would happen (but won't due to TV politics), but I would love to see someone big (e.g. Fox) release an entirely online channel that you can just pay for by itself. You know, take that first step towards getting rid of these terrible cable packages that force you to pay 60$ for a bunch of channels that you don't want. I'd much rather pay more per channel and get only the ones I want.
Of course, that dream will not happen because they get more money overall with the bundles, but still.

Kuselias called out Freeh and the NCAA for the joke they are and is in clear support of Joe/PSU football in this entire saga. His commentary is the reason I paid more attention to NBC Sports actually.

I should know this but it's tough to keep up with all the sports outlets. Dan Patrick is on NBCSports. I know he has bad blood for some managers/executives at ESPN, but what was/is his stance of the Freeh report and us.
You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game, life or football-the margin for error is so small. -Pacino

I started listening sometime around end of olympics when he got back from hosting at the olympics as I just couldnt take ESPN anymore, so I dont know what I he was like at the height of "it" and the sanctions, but he been relatively tough on Joe/PSU but not on the actual team though.
I think he has softened up significantly since when I started watching back around August, dont think he is really for punishing the current players/coaches for what happened. He made a bet with one of his USC friends before the year that PSU without Silas Redd will end up with a better record with USC with Silas Redd. As we know, he was right.

Remember when Fox sports net was supposed to rival espn back in the late 90's. Olberman and Matt Vasgersian. Who else was on there... Van Earl Wright and Andrew Siciliano. Chris Meyers. Good times. I actually liked Best Damn Sports Show. Way better then any garbage espn put out there. And this may sound odd but I loved FSN's national NFL pregame show with Jay Mohr, Deacon Jones and I forget who else was on there. I'm rooting for this network to succeed and if it does it's because they get good talent and original program and let the talent be the talent and no try to control them like a puppet like espn. Personalities sell. For me at the old FSN people like john sally were gold and what made them different from espn. I hope Fox Sports 1 tries to be completely different from espn and not an espn clone.
