From @mortreport and me: Eagles met with Notre Dame HC Brian Kelly, who is now out of country. Sides expect to revisit talks.
Not a fan of Kelly's at all. I guess my Eagles are pissed about missing on Chip so they moved to the next best Kelly.
It would be fun to piss off the Golden Domers though...

I would like it. The guy is a winner. It's the pros, just win baby. Who knows if he would be good in the NFL, but there is a real lack of talent out there right now as possible HCs.
And it would be great watching the domers cry.

The news of Kelly's extension with ND should be forthcoming any day now. This seems like a blatant leverage move. No freakin' way he leaves now after pulling in so much talent over the last few years and possibly making his mark on that university for a long time if he keeps winning...

I'm actually quickly coming around on this. The Eagles have expressed their interest in wanting a "program builder". Kelly has been that at a few stops and he's been almost exclusively a head coach his entire career. He's also worked his way up the ranks...much like Chip Kelly. For me it would all come down to his coordinators. Who does he know in the NFL?

ND really overachieved this year so this may be the year for him to make the leap if he wants to. I'm on board with liking the idea but I bet he stays.
