I'm down with this. Personally, I think the entire pre-game music selection needs re-worked. Hopefully that changes this year too. Some of the same songs have been playing since I was a freshman in 2005. It's getting a bit bland at this point. Play some more current, hip hop, "pump up" songs.

I completely disagree.
1. Rock and Roll was by far the best pump up song we had when you hear P...S....U echoing around the stadium.
2. Ya I wanna hear more Ke$ha and LMFAO, nothing screams gladiator match like a bunch of squealing pop music. Less current, past, and future. More staples like fight songs. The blue band doesn't get enough time as it is with Guido piping in music over them, most people don't even know the words to the fight songs as it is.

They could play the Pennsylvania Polka for all I care if it gets rid of the microphone guy.
I am not ready to "Rock And Roll"....I disliked him more than Jay Paterno. In fact my new handle should be FireGudio or FireMicroponeGuy

Agreed 100%. Hearing the "P.....S.....U" coming out of the stadium is something special. The problem is the on field product hasn't matched up to expectations so the cheer probably has lost some of it's feel. I was there in late 90s, when we were pretty good......and that cheer gave me chills every time and had an intimidation factor. Now...with the on field production we've had lately, not so much.

While we're on that topic, I spoke with a blue band member in 2009 at the Michigan game in Ann Arbor (35-10 PSU victory) and he said that they could no longer play "skin I'm in" at the football games due to an issue with the original song's copyright or something of that nature.. I really loved it and wish they could or Abstill play it during fball games.. If you want to know the song I'm talking about.. it can be heard here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N10scJ-aD-I
