OK, who "steps off the Bus" first this weekend.

  • Kind of quiet today, so I wanna say happy November to everyone, and start the pot a' stirring. stir

Who gets the nod at QB this week. Does Bolden resume at the helm, or does Joe say he "wants to be sure" on Bolden's health and sit him another week. Curious on everyone's opinion.

Oh and by the way to add to my comment last week. If you are a hunter, and are on the fence about a crossbow (I wouldn't b/c I was a traditionalist and always wanted to stick with the Compound Bow), give it a try. You will not be disappointed. Even if the shoulder gets better, I may not switch back.

And wish I could have been to join the chats this weekend, but no phone signal or internet at Camp. GREAT GAME THOUGH!!!! WOO HOO!!!!! drums WOO HOO!!!!!

Seriously. Michigans defense is horrible. HORRIBLE. We all know how bad our offense is, the Oline and how bad Rosyter has played. Then watch that game. that's how bad Michigans defense is. I hope I never see McGloin take another snap, unless it's in mop up duty. I think I have the same arm strentgh that he does, and that's not good.

  • McGloin played fine, but as pete said, his play was helped significantly by the level of opposition and the potency of the running game. This is Bolden's team, period.

  • I am well aware of that. And I am well aware of who the best QB on this team is. And I am well aware that Bolden has the ULTIMATE breakout game if he plays against Michigan and might be the National Player of the Week. And I am aware that McGloin doesn't make the 3 deep on any other Top 25 team in the country.

You are totally missing the point, and maybe I asked the question wrong, and didn't emphasize the part about Joe. My point is, I am well aware of who or head coach is. And I am well aware of who is still in charge, especially with his ability being questioned, he may even moreso now wants to prove every one wrong. And every one here knows that deep down, he is doing somersaults, and thinking "I told you so".

My point/question is not who should start, who is the best or whatever. My question was "Who gets the nod?" As in, "Who does the MAN IN CHARGE, send off the bus first?"

In my mind their is no way Bolden should start another game until the next injury calls for it. But if McGloin starts this game, it would in no way shock me because, Joe is still in charge the last time I looked. Rumor had it, Jay wanted to start Bolden, Joe wanted McGloin. Who won that one again??

Sorry if I took my frustrations out on you. I'm just over reading all the McGloin is awesome posts on other boards and posters ignoring the defense he played against etc.

I think Joe keeps Bolden, Joe wanted Bolden, so going with McGloin means Joe made the wrong decision. He won't let people think that.

Also, here is what I asked Tdiddy and want to know. They allowed McGloin to roll out most of the game, where the hell has that been for Bolden? That's exactly what we need to do with him.

  • I was wondering the same thing. The playcalling was very good, surprisingly. Just dont know why it took McGloin to get the start for the playcalling to wake up.

  • Bolden steps off first on Saturday. They can't give him another week off and then expect to go into Columbus "rusty". He has to play this weekend against a very average Northwestern unit.

I know man, don't sweat it. I still "read" BWI occasionally, but it is so utterly frustrating, it hurts some times. Some of those guys are out of control. I hope he sticks with Bolden, I think he is really starting to "get it". In the Minnesota game, and from what Blackledge said about Bolden and Thursday Practice and "the ball never touching the ground", I am dying to see him get back out there!!!! But that doesn't keep JoePa from worrying me on these things.

I know exactly what you mean on the rollout thing. I still think the best pass I have seen all year by PSU was the rollout where he hit Devon Smith on their 2nd TD drive (like 4th overall drive) against Minny on 2nd down and 1 or something. I think it only picked up like 9 yards, but it was a rollout/bootleg from the far left hash, that he threw on a line, over a defender, all the way across the field to the right sideline. Every time I watch that play, I just drool over the potential this kid has.

  • I thought MM played a fantastic game, and I am not going to add all the 'buts' people feel need to be applied when making such a statement.

I think Bolden should be the first off the bus. I think he is our QB, and the better QB. That's all I have to say about thaaaat.

  • Brett Brackett comes off the bus first....

but seriously Bolden could have played if he needed to Saturday and he'll be first string this Saturday.

    PSUfan28

  • It has to be Bolden.

As well as MM did Bolden has more upside

Couldn't agree more, but, I really would like to see more emotion from Bolden. It's one thing to let your actions speak, but the team (any team) feeds off the leader's fire. Collins had that, Rob needs it!

  • Things seem a little tense here so who steps off the bus first?

    1. The bus mechanic
    2. The cruise director
    3. Phi Grosz's hair stylist
    4. Joe
    5. The love child of Dayle Tate or Matt Senneca, cloned 20 years ago
