It means our leadership missed an opportunity to stop someone who was hurting kids. Doesn't matter if it wasn't a cover up. Doesn't matter if sanctions are overreaching and unjust. Something terrible happened and we're going to be men enough to take the punishment, even if we had nothing to do with it because we're going to demonstrate to the world that Penn State is bigger than just bowl games and wins.

The reason why the sanctions are in place is that Emmert is a quack and the NCAA is a farce. He understands that.
Each person who hears that statement hears something different, and it's the politically correct way of saying "the NCAA blows."

Yep! DickRod, Emmert, Surma, Hintz, Garban & Peetz were the key players in "why"!
