  • Do you want them to lose this week or get blown out in the NC? I am not sure, I would love to see them get blown out in the NC but I am not sure I can handle ND fans continuous talking between now and the NC game.

  • Again, don't understand the ND hate. IMO, they are not that unlike us. They emphasize academics, challenge the individual to achieve their best as a player and in life, act as one team / one family, and their fans have a #culture problem. I agree their contract with NBC is annoying - building them up for all those years when they were a lousy team. But, IMO it is much easier to root for them, as they still value the student athlete unlike most other programs.

  • I want them to lose immediately so Mike Golic will shut up about them on his show (and I'm otherwise a huge Mike and Mike fan).

    Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Way too much press and love from the media, much of it unwarranted.

Also, we recruit against them so it helps us when they fail.

Because their fans act like they are the greatest thing on this earth. The thing I want to see most in college football is a new rule saying you have to win your conference to play for the NC and block ND till they join a conference.

  • My hate for me comes from going to catholic school. I was raised in a psu house so going to catholic school there was always friendly banter but I was always out numbered. I also believes it comes from the rivalry we used to carry with me through the 80 and 90s including the 2 point conversion games. Best memory was the game winning kick when they were number 1 and we were 24. We grounded the rocket that day

I get that, but you'd rather have a semi-pro Alabama team win over a team of actual student athletes?

    Here are 20 reasons.

20 Reasons Why College Football Fans Hate Notre Dame | Bleacher Report

Notre Dame is a fixture in the world of college football. The Fighting Irish have been around for a long time and have been featured a total of 736 times in the AP Poll since its inception in 1936 (via collegepollarchive...

  • My hate comes from knowing a pretentious, stuck up family of Notre Dame alums. Can't stand them.

Funny thing is, the dad is an attorney who recently must've got in trouble with the bar association, and my father recently bought his office building for cheap. The attorney is now a bus driver down in Disney World. We have been receiving calls for his hard drives and stuff (he cleaned out the place). Maybe it was divine retribution?

I also hated Notre Dame growing up as my brother was a ND and Lou Holtz fan when he was younger (this was when they were actually decent in late 80s/early 90s). Thankfully, my dad told me "Blue" (I couldnt say Lou, I guess) Holtz was a cheater and I didnt like that and I always rooted against my brothers teams. So, I grew up loving Boston College (as well as PSU) as they were routinely beating ND during those times, and my dad was a Flutie fan.

  • My biggest fear is that ND loses to USC, and somehow we end up with another all-SEC BCS championship game. ND fans are insufferable when they win, but then again, so are SEC fans. I would ideally like to see Oregon win out and somehow sneak into the game.

  • It depends where you live. I live in SoCal so I want ND to win this weekend and win big. I'd probably feel different if I lived back east or in the midwest.

I'd rather have an all-SEC national championship again than ND even playing in the game with a chance to be crowned national champions!

  • First time ever I am a Domer fan this weekend... PSU finishes 8-4 and USC finishes 7-5. Cinderella story...

    PennStateFan33

  • I can't stand the ND fan base. Most of them have zero ties to the school, but they go nuts for "their team." It's also annoying to hear them say that ND is the most accomplished program in the history of college football.. Last I checked, Alabama has 14 National Titles and ND has 11

  • I cant take a month of them talking about ND. Lose this weekend and then get blown out in a bowl game.

I guess I should warn you, if I turn out to be particularly clear, you've probably misunderstood what I've said.

  • I hope they lose to SC this weekend. The media has been touting their D all season...I would love to see it for what it is this weekend -- overrated.

    pab203psu

  • I view ND in the same light as the Yankees and the Cowboys. Yes they have all had lots of success, but their fans are all super annoying and everywhere. Also, the constant media attention is about as annoying as it gets. Teo = Tebow....There are probably 20 linebackers with better stats than Teo but somehow he is a Heisman candidate? If he was at any other school, you would never hear of him.

    rummel49

  • Do you really think if ND gets to the mNC and they face BAMA they will have a chance? BAMA is a complete team on both sides of the ball. They will move the ball at will and stop ND in their tracks, it will be like last year and ND will not get past the 50. Look at the Michigan game between the two schools. BAMA humiliated Michigan, ND barely beat Michigan and Michigan threw 5 picks that game and fumbled the ball. BAMA is plug and play with depth in every position.
But you do have to give it to old Lou he might have guessed it right this year, but too bad he has been saying ND was going to be in the mNC every year for the last twenty years. I guess a blind squirl does get a nut once and a while.

    PSUGeddy

  • ND was LUCKY to squeak by Purdue and Pitt, let alone Stanford. They are probably America's luckiest team this year....the opposite of PSU I suppose.

    rummel49

  • I want SC to get beat badly, and I want ZZ to finish wth more yards than you know who.

Then I want ND embarrassed in the NT game by 50.
