No real topic here except to say that I'm enjoying posting on

  • here lately because everyone is agreeing, disagreeing, arguing, etc BUT...no one has been rude or disrespectful.What a change from the board I was on before. I've been told many times on here in the past week or so "Coach your opinion is REALLY wrong" but no one has said "Coach you are REALLY an idiot for thinking what you are thinking." There's a huge difference in those two statements obviously, and Fitz is doing a great job monitoring things and you guys are all a pleasure to talk, argue with.

  • That's one of the best things about this site. People are sharing their thoughts, opinions, intel, whether it be good or bad, but doing it in a kind way and not turning threads into personal attacks. Sean put out a memo last week regarding eliminating the personal attacks and thread hijacking and if it continues, repercussions will be made to those individuals accordingly. It's definitely refreshing to go to a forum and know that it's a civil place to share your thoughts and concerns surrounding the PSU football program.

    Not only do the parents think it, in the back of our minds, we're like, jesus, I'm an idiot for calling that.

    But you're right, it's quite fun, and I know that I don't agree with a lot of things, but I try to be respectful of those opinions (at least I hope it comes off that way).

  • sporty I pray at the altar of pdiehm and his endless football knowledge LOL Too many things I try don't work so "idiot" might be one of the more pleasant things Ive been called censored But thats going back to another thread about "coaches paying attention to fans and the press". My last encounter with the press was many years ago when I told a sports editor that I wouldn't use his newspaper to line the bottom of my parakeet's cage. Omg does that mean I was confrontational like Jay before it even became popular? lol

    Awesome!!! I agree with everyone else....this is a place where you can have some constructive conversations about Penn State. There is no need for beating each other up..we all care about the same thing..kicking butt on Saturdays!!!!

    I would put a smily face but I am confident you know I am kidding. You are the best in the business sir. I haven't posted much at all lately. Combination of being ridiculously busy and when I do get a free 10 minutes, I don't want to waste it by reading grown men bickering about Joe and Jay. How have you been?

  • I have been real busy J. I get up at 5 every morning and work 8-10 hours for Pepsi, I then go straight to my dad's shop and work 2-4 more hours. As soon as I leave there, I coach my boy's football team. We practice 2 hours a night Monday-Thursday. I haven't had a day off, not 1, in 31 straight days. Not complaining though. I don't think I would know what to do if I had a day off and things could be A LOT worse. How are things with you?

    Great to hear man, except for the 31 days straight thing. Dang. I am working on a new job. I have the job offer already it's just a matter of where and when. It looks like it will probably start in January. But the location is still up in the air. It is narrowed down to a territory of Southern Ohio and Kentucky OR and the one I am hoping for is Pennsylvania and West Virginia. If it is PA, I may be moving back to PA. It is more likely that I wind up in Ohio but I am praying for the PA territory. I have already been cheating and looking at houses in Bellefonte and Port Matilda and a few others around SC.
    But I am really glad to hear things are going better for you. Now just figure out a way to get a day of and get up for a game and some of that legendary tailgate chili I used to hear about. Take care man.
