Nittany Lion Club "One Team Commitment"

  • frxank said...

Go to nittany lion club website. Figure out where you'd like to sit. Donate the according amount per seat by February. You can send them money at different times to build up to the required amount. The actual ticket payments. 55 per seat are due around may or June

Is the amount per seat just a one time payment or is it per game? Like if I pay $200 per seat, is that per game or for the whole season?

If you commit and then bail at some point the only thing you lose is the 50 points you don't actually get until 2017 anyway.

From the way I read it, if you bail early, you lose not only the 50 extra, but also the "double point value" and 2 pts/sport/year.

    ONE TEAM COMMITMENT DONOR BENEFITS:
    • NLC Points (at any giving level)
    - Double the point value for your ONE TEAM annual gift
each year over the next five (5) years
    - 2 additional NLC points per sport for renewing season tickets each year (Ex. Football, Women’s and Men’s Basketball, Women’s and Men’s Ice Hockey and Wrestling)
    - 50 NLC bonus points will be added to your account after the completion of your 5th year (2017) annual gift

NOTE: Annual NLC points awarded for ONE TEAM commitments will be removed if the
annual gift is not fully fulfilled each year during the five year period (2013-2017) and the 50
NLC bonus points will not be awarded.

  • I Do, and I like the idea.

The 5 year commitment is the least I can do to make sure the "student athlete programs" at PSU continue to grow and get better over time. These student athletes have given us there commitment. The least we can do is give them our financial commitment for their future and others so to allow these programs and "ONE TEAM" to succeed.

It is per seat per season. So if you want two seats in the $200 donation level then you will pay a fee of $400 then pay for your season tickets on top of that.

Thank you guys. So then how much are the season tickets? 55? And is that per game so like $385 per seat per season?

    yes....# of games x $55 x # of seats

    if there are 7 home games and you want two season tix = 7 x $55 = $385 x 2 = $770

You would also pay your anual $ per section per seat....if you were 2 seats in a $100 section = $200

You would also want your season parking pass = $70

    So all in you would be $770 + $200 + $70 = $1,040

Curious if the 50 NLC points are going to entice enough people. Value of NLC points devalued after the introduction of STEP

This. Points are like confederate money, and they are throwing them at you in a desperate attempt to sell tickets. I give them credit for going to the $200 zone, but with all that is going on, it might only be a small cosmetic shift of fannies.

  • NLC used to be worth so much more in value. They still might come in handy. I have 300 points and was grateful when I reached the point knowing I could get away tickets, extra tickets for bigger home games, and bowl tickets. It is also nice to get in earlier for seat selections now in STEP.

Have had season tickets for over 20 years. Will sign up for the 5 years,....
