Nah. I didn't hear the interview, but I highly doubt that Carter will be moved... He is shorter than the typical Y TE, and he isn't that good of a blocker (something that the Y traditionally is). I also heard BOB say that KC is more of a basketball player/athlete playing TE... And talking about how athletic his is. James I think can develop into a heck of a Y. He's only 18... Keep that in mind. He is going to get a LOT better at his position, is a true Y, and can get a lot better blocking (his frame is redunk). I just don't agree with that assessment... AB is longer than Carter and has a bigger frame to fill out and play both (a la Lehman). But KC is a straight F IMO. I just don't believe that BOB said that. Or meant that KC would move to the more traditional blocking TE. He would have to improve his blocking A LOT in order to do that. Maybe if BOB wanted to give a straight receiving look, he could have AB and KC on the field at the same time- entirely possible, and would be a matchup nightmare... But to think that KC would play the Y for an extended period or other than a select package in specific situations, I don't agree with and can't see... KC is a prototypical undersized, athletic F...

This is the part I don't understand about the Y and F, I get one moves and flexes but at New England the better receiving tight end was the Y with gronk, the F hernendez was very effective also but you make it seem if Carter starts primarily playing the F that he will be relegated to a Mark Bruener 3rd tackle role. I thought the whole premise of this offense was to created mismatches and I don't think guys like Lehmen, although he has been good, james and gilliam give you that added elite pass catching dynamic. In the NFL maybe you need that Y guy to be 6'6 but in college He'll be going up against smaller players. I just don't think the offense is anywhere close to what BOB wants and he truly is making chicken salad out of chicken s***.
