Next Opponent: Indiana

  • Indiana is losing to 0-3 North Texas 21-0 at the half. I see no reason why we should struggle in Bloomington next Saturday. North Texas has 190 passing yards at 181 rushing yards at the half.

  • It's just going to be week 5 of this audition we have going. I'm just hoping we can establish the run next week.

  • True, we should handle them.

I haven't been able to see one of their games yet, but it doesn't seem like they're buying into Wilson's system just yet. If they do, they can move the ball against our soft zone.

‏@Cordale10 Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS

  • I am not counting any victories on the road for this team as automatic. It should be, but I'm not going to go along with your thinking. Our offense lacks punch and our defense will be adjusting without two of their best players.

The Hoosiers failing at North Texas will just make our team overconfident. A noon game in Bloomington doesn't have blowout written on it to me. We might pull away in the 4th quarter, but I am guessing I will be a little anxious at the half.

Their QB is not the most accurate, so we got a good shot at picking off a couple overthrows.

  • I agree that we should start 1-0 in the division. It will be interesting to see Wisky play Nebraska. With the division format, I'll be pulling hard for the Huskers. Would be nice to have an early one game lead on the division favorite...

  • Yeah, we definitely need to have MUCH improved play from our OL all around. Thankfully we were able to pass the ball at will today vs. EMU but in the B1G, establishing the run is key. I was disappointed to see Silas turned away today.

Yeah, that game has huge implications from the get go. I can't complain. It should be a great game for sure.

  • UNT is one of the ten worst programs in FBS. VERY embarrassing for B1G if Hoosiers lose this game.

Indiana will lose to UNT and Minnesota will lose to North Dakota State (just like 2007).

sucks man. Me and my friends pick 1 road game per year to go to. Last year we did Minneapolis, the year before we did Chicago and Northwestern (I also went to the Illinois game with my brother and Sis-In-Law, as she graduated from Illinois)...this year we came down to Indiana and Wisconsin. But since the girls we were coming this year, and the Wisconsin game being in late Nov, we went with Indiana. None of us have been to Indianapolis so that's the draw.

Indy is a fun town plays smaller than it is in some ways though. That is what we usually do, pick one NFL game and one NCAA game to go to.Well the two guys who were originally supposed to go are both die hard Illinois fans but wanted to see Indiana get bitch smacked. One bailed because he is an Illinois grad and it is HC that weekend, which was cool. The other one told me he didn't want to drive, and though he didn't say it, the girlfriend was mad she wasn't instantly invited.

It really sucks for me as I just graduated 2 years ago and since I played college ball, I have never had a chance to go to any Penn State game.

  • Indiana just fell 24-21 after a furious comeback led by their backup QB. May have 2 QB controversies in one game next week.

Not just any backup QB either, that is Dusty Kiel brother of #1 QB in the 2012 class and current IU commit Gunner Kiel.

I am also going to this game with a buddy. We are driving down from Michigan Friday afternoon. Where you staying? We probably will get settled quickly so we can watch playoff baseball Friday night!

Early start on the road. PSU usually comes out flat and keeps subpar opponents in the game longer than it should. With this offense we have, I wouldn't take anything for granted even if its Indiana.

Yeah, starting out slow on the road in a noon game is always troublesome for this program. The offensive struggles we have had so far this year don't make me giddy or excited about the game but considering that IU is, well, IU, this game technically shouldn't even be close.

  • At least we don't have to worry about a huge hostile crowd at Indy. They'll be happy if they get 30,000 to the game.

  • Just an FYI, I am undefeated in true road games (my only loss is the Rose Bowl). The win is booked rockon

  • Gave you the upvote for the unbeaten road record... FWIW we are a 17.5 pt. favorite to open. Vegas showing Indiana no respect.

Interesting that Wisconsin is a 10 pt. favorite over Nebraska...

I have no idea what to expect out of this game. I don't trust Russell Wilson, I trust Taylor Martinez even less, and think that Husker D is seriously overrated defending the pass to the point where they're actually BAD at it...but I don't know is Wilson and their lone receiving threat is good enough to do anything about it...I have this sense that they're both flawed teams. I think Martinez is going to run wild on the Badgers. It's a toss up.
