  • He looked pissed and I don't blame him.

    He's been 2nd string all season and now, he would get a chance to play, and they put McGloin in. I also thought he was close to winning the starting job right before the season started. Then, He is 2nd string and came in when Bolden was taken out at the end of games, now, this happens??? This is eerily similar to playing Ganter over AM against Wisky back in the day.

    I think we can say goodbye to Newsome.

  • Listening to the game on the radio....they said Newsome was sick earlier in the week. Not sure what his status is now, but they hinted that's the excuse for Mcgloin playing.

  • To make it worse, McGloin who's supposed to be "the better passer", has been terrible (apart from 1 pass). We need a ground game, Newsome can help that, yet we on't use him???

  • I too heard of Newsome being sick, but, if he was well enough to travel, he should play. Not to mention, he looked pissed.

    You're not Newsome. You don't know what the conversations were and kids not playing tend to get pissed...even those who are concussed. Oooops, did I say that out loud.

    No, completely unprepared to enter the game. Did not answer the call to go in. Staff had to go to McGloin. That's fact. I understand you doubting me. I know what I'm talking about.

    So, if Newsome was prepared, he would have gone in?

    I realize that there are people out there that really do have the scoop. You could very well be one of them....I don't believe or disbelieve you right now, I will just start paying attention to your posts and following what you say, if it pans out most times then I know you know things. believe me, I just don't write off everyone who claims they know things as liars cause some do. I would rather you share your info then keep it to yourself.

  • CA, I don't think Pete doubted you .... I didn't catch that Newsome wasn't ready to go either and I venture that about 99.9% of viewers didn't as well.

    If memory serves he was unprepared last year when his number was called ... he had to borrow someones helmet and everything.

  • I agree, it didn't appear to be a challenge to your point but a plea for clarification and expansion. Not being ready is sort of vague and could mean several things which have drastically different inferences to Newsome/McGloin and the entire situation.

    No harm no foul.

    I certainly would think that from your post Newsome just sat on the bench and didn't hear or answer the request to prepare to enter the game. That in itself sounds strange as I would expect Newsome to be chomping at the bit to enter the game. So the Newsome mystery continues, at least in my mind.....
