Lets also not forget we didnt have a true cupcake FCS team on the schedule and could just as easily be undefeated. Without the sanctions and defections, who knows what our record would be.

I saw the NC teams and the 1994 team play and this team deserves a place of honor along with these teams. I have never enjoyed watching a Penn State team more than this one. They may not have won any championships but they won the hearts and respect of Penn Staters everywhere.

We should put 2011 up there, too, because we were co-champions of our division in 2011. Wiscy went to the BIG championship game because they beat us straight up.

No we shouldn't. Besides 2012, it should be reserved for unbeaten, national championship, and conference championship teams. Maybe division winners, if we actually played in the championship game.

Maybe they didn't do as well on the scoreboard as some of those other teams, but IMO there is no doubt they won the hardest battle ever fought by any football team (ever)

I have told this story to 3 people that didn't hear of it yet. I don't get 3/4 to the end before I have to stop because I start to choke up. These kids deserve so much credit. As the day ends I asked how many of you would have stayed? Not stayed as Penn State Football Players but stayed in your current job or even your current life? 95% of your who say they would have stayed are lying. We would all stay now, who wouldn't?
But when times were in shambles these guys stayed.
And for that 2012 needs to be seen forever, and maybe even a permanent retirement of 42.
