I agree, Jumbo, these aren't too bad!

The only thing I don't like is that it looks like the jersey has a different shade of blue than the stripe on the pants. It's probably just the way it looks in the picture, but if that ends up being the case I won't like them nearly as much.

Why not just rename the school while we're at it and take down the championship banners? Maybe then we can completely erase everything about our identity and traditions.

Does anyone know where the pictures of the other uniforms went? Thought they were on twitter but I cant find them.

Since we're all offering our opinions, here's mine.

Generally, I'm surprised by how much I like it.

Love the numbers on the helmets (always wanted that), and like the aggressive font of the numbers.

Not a huge fan of the pant stripe, but can get over it. Would be bummed if the helmet is actually silver and not white. Helmet needs to stay white, IMO.

Really hope these are a one time pro combat deal. Not bad though.

I agree. A tasteful redo is probably a good idea right about now. Universities tweak their uniforms all the time. I keep seeing comments about keeping it "old school". The problem with that is fewer and fewer kids these days can relate with "old school" PSU, especially non-PA kids. To most kids the uniforms signify "boring" and "vanilla". I know, I know, we're looking for those kids who can appreciate the history and tradition of Penn State. Problem is, that pool of kids is getting smaller and smaller. A reinvigoration of the classic uniform, including names on the back, will be an additional marketing tool for the staff.

I like the "S" in the middle of the v neck.... But everything else should stay the same IMO, but put names on the back of the jerseys. That's "new" but remaining minimalist. I think the numbers on the helmet is too close to Bama. I like the S though...
