None of them are PSU commits, but Hackenberg is under consideration for a 5th star. He did move up to a 97 rating.

Also, for those who care, OSU no longer has a 5* commit. Jalin Marshall was dropped from a 98 rating to a 95.

JC said they seriously considered moving him to 5* this time around. Have to think that with an improved senior season, he's almost a lock.

If you want a good laugh, you should visit Bucknuts, they're in meltdown mode right now because Jalin lost his 5th star and Shane Morris picked up his 5th star. Also, it sounds like Hackenburg should get his 5th star at some point.

Good for Shane - I actually skimmed and forgot to check if he had gotten that 5th star or not.
I didn't even realize it, but Hack is the top 4* prospect...just one spot away from being 5*.

How can a kid have a rating of 100 let alone 103? Are these prospects considered perfect and beyond perfect respectively?

Yeah, I know most UM fans have thought that Shane deserved his 5th star for a long time. There are 3 elite QB's in this class and Hack is one of them, definitely a 5*. Here's a link to Bucknuts talking about Jalin losing his 5th star.

Probably a dumb thought, but I hope Hack can fully practice with his team and these camps don't get in the way. I imagine Elite 11 is some time next month.

They have Hack right where he should be right now, IMO. I love his ability, and he is everything you want in a leader (at least from what I have seen), but he needs to be a little more consistent to be a 5* IMO. I never take much from camps, but when you couple his inconsistencies there with his 15 INTs last year, it is a valid concern.
