I was a member of all 3 recruiting sites. I have since cancelled BWI and have kept Scout, 247.

Why no more BWI? I cannot stand the forums over their (even the paid one). The Wig is overly optimistic with everything and is ridiculous in what he says a lot of times. They do get some good pieces on actual football, but the recruiting info is not that great, though Ryan and Nate do a decent job.

Why 247? I was originally a member of only BWI and Scout, but tried out the 247 trial around the coaching search, thinking I'd just cancel after the trial. Well, that didnt happen and 247 is now where I spend 95% of my time on PSU football/recruiting, with 5-10% being Scout for some of their PSU football coverage. The forum/community here is growing with solid contributors, the technology here at the 247 site is not ancient like the other 2 and is constantly taking feedback from its users and improving the user experience (both the forums and the web site) to the tech guys at 247. The trolls on this site are almost non-existant and we actually get some good convos going with people from other schools. And most importantly, Fitz is the best in the business at what he does for PSU football recruiting news. Now, with the addition of Jeff Rice to cover PSU football news, this place has firmly planted itself as #1 for PSU football IMO.

Why Scout? The Marks do a great job over at Scout and the community is alright. The bad things about that community on the TAP Board (I dont venture to Audibles much) is that some posters just jump down other people's throats for posting their opinion. It is a real turnoff. Whereas here, everyone has their own opinion and for the most part everyone is respectful of that opinion. The barometers from PBMark are also great. The recruiting info is lagging behind Fitz.

This is all IMHO.

I dropped BWI right after LOI, picked up 247 and have not looked back. Best move I have made. Thinking I am going to drop scout as well.

I have all three right but that is about to change.

Ryan and Nate work hard at BWI but I find the board tought to read most of the time due to some of the members and I just got tired of the arguing.

FOS Scout is ok for a lot of general knowledge but the recruiting info is a little slow.

I like what is going on here because Fitz and the recruiting info is top notch and with the addition of Jeff Rice we are already seeing more team info come our way. In my opinion it's only going to get better here and my days of having all three are nearing an end. I think you'll also find that there are a number of posters here who have a lot of football and recuiting knowledge and don't hesitate to help. i'm really getting up to speed on a topic that I lost touch with 20 years ago.

with sean and andrew it was worth the price, they just added on Jeff Rice, who since getting here has been overloading people with great articles...without Jeff it was a no brainer....now with Jeff hands down the best penn state coverage around

i joined 247 based on the 30 day free trial...after that I was hooked...highly recommend doing the trail to help your decision

This board is young and growing. Give it time. There are established relationships over on FOS that have existed for years, and it creates some animosity. As you expand the pool, you'll also get more trolls who can ruin it for everyone. I'll never forget LK.. he ruined every thread for years.

I subscribe to both FOS and 247. I've tried BWI in the past and found it to be completely worthless. Both sites to which I subscribe have their strengths and weaknesses. Fitz and 247 have taken the mantel as top dog when it comes to recruiting information. Its slower on FOS since Cory James scaled back his contribution to the site. While the forum here is growing I still prefer the TAP Board for most of my posting. While the addition of Jeff Rice will be a huge boost for content on 247, no one is better than Mark Brennan on FOS for insight and info into the current team. I suggest belonging to both, and never under any circumstance give any money to the Pilgrim.

I've been on BWI for almost 12 years and on FOS for about 9 and I must say that 247 has become sort of my go to ( I'm a newbie here). Great job 247...

I would be long gone from bwi but I'm a film junkie and they(rivals) have a great amount of film on kids. Will drop them prob in the fall again though.
