NUMB,,,,just NUMB...feel for the kids...but I still feel for Joe

Good grief...captain obvious, don't you think they get that????

Think about it, think what they're going through. It's like your beloved grandpa, patriarch of a close-knit and loving family, the head of the family who has loved and guided you all your life. Then this happens. How do you think Penn fans are going to feel?

It's a mix you moron...but right now it's more of a somber feeling. So glad you're here to tell us how to feel and think.

How about having some class and realize this is not the time or place to make judgments or give your opinion? How about simply telling them you support them and feel for them in this difficult time?

But, Penn fans have the right attitude...they shouldn't give a damn about what you or I say..or the rest of the outsiders. I understand this feeling all too well.

Does having class include celebrating the victory of morality over $? There is a reason this situation has me so opinionated and posting here. I am not the only one. The current admin at PSU agree with me and ousted every sick twisted person that was involved with this travesty. I'm not hating on PSU. I'm celebrating with the few that realize this is a victory.

Then celebrate with your mother in her basement where you live and leave the rest of us alone...because we do not care about you or your opinions

You're an idiot, but you're to dumb to see it. We forgive you, but hopefully another real Tide fan will come scoop you up.

Oh yes, pontificating from a 'Bama fan...right. I was on campus at USC in 19freakin'70..NINETEEN SEVENTY, the Trojans were the first integrated team to play in the deep south...it took a damn football game loss to bring you out of the dark ages of segregation. It was $$$ and winning over morality for you people.

Do you know the story about "We Are....Penn State!" Chant? Do you?

Nah...Cuthbert's a big boy...I'm just gonna let him lie there.

I feel for the PS students, alum, and fans. But it's your family, not ours. Not really appropriate for us to lecture you about how you should grieve, especially when none of us has ever been through anything like this as a university community.

Fair enough. I was out of line last night. Best of luck to the PSU family.

PSU did the right thing. Putting Joe out there as the face of the University right now would have been a travesty.

They did put him out there like that, except as a martyr.

One thing you should know about me. I don't lie anywhere. I am not posting here as an Alabama fan. I post as a person who has experience in this situation. PSU did the right thing. Putting Joe out there as the face of the University right now would have been a travesty.

With all due respect, you have zero experience in this situation. Whatever life or professional experience you think you may have had, it pales in comparision to an entire university family of close to 100,000 students, plus alums and fans, whose beloved icon has been forced out because of such a heinous crime. Nothing remotely similar to this has ever happened.

Most of these guys agree that Paterno had to go immediately. You seem to be lecturing them on how they should grieve or express their emotions. You're out of line.

  • I'm not going to pass judgment on how the PSU students are reacting. Sure, we all have an opinion, but its not my place. I will honestly give you this question to think about, though:

What would Coach Paterno think about the students rioting violently, throwing rocks at the media and police, and turning over vehicles?

He's already spoken on it...he said to go home, study, and pray for the victims. Typical Joe.

  • I too have mixed emotions, but I think that Joe should have been allowed to finish out the season. He did something, but he didn't do enough. I get that. But to me, Joe is and always will be larger than life. It's so sad to see the fact that the actions of another terrible human being can bring down a great one.
