I would really want Suter on the Flyers over Parise. Defense is what I am more concerned about. Maybe trade for Bobby Ryan as well. Also I still don't get why the Penguins want Parise so bad, I think that the Flyers/Pens series proved that both teams were not that great defensively.
I will by no means want to trade Couturier. I think the kid can be the next Ron Francis. I thought this before Jagr. The kid was considered the #1 pick for a reason.

probably because he'd score 40-50 a year with Sid, is great in every phase of the game on every part of the ice, has tremendous leadership and is a great prescence in locker room

A lot of positive reports about Zach coming back to NJ. Has been on phone with Marty a lot today and Marty said he's "oretty positive" Zach will be a Devil, but we'll see. Sounds like Suter to Wings I'm a lot more optomistic than Iwas yesterday, but won't get excited until ink is dry on a contract with Devils. Nothing would surprise me though.

Nashville will match. They are a ton under the cap floor and few options out there to help increase that cap. Flyers just sped up the process. This is nothing more than Edmonton signing Vanek to a sheet a few years ago forcing Buffalo to overpay.

Nashville might not be able to afford to match from a fiscal point of view.
Contract breakdown:
2012-13 (age 27): $1 million salary + $13 million signing bonus (league maximum $14M) 2013-14 (28): $1 million salary + $13 million signing bonus (league maximum $14M) 2014-15 (29): $1 million salary + $13 million signing bonus (league maximum $14M) 2015-16 (30): $1 million salary + $13 million signing bonus (league maximum $14M) 2016-17 (31): $4 million salary + $8 million signing bonus (total $12 million) 2017-18 (32): $4 million salary + $8 million signing bonus (total $12 million) 2018-19 (33): $6 million salary 2019-20 (34): $6 million salary 2020-21 (35): $6 million salary 2021-22 (36): $6 million salary 2022-23 (37): $3 million salary 2023-24 (38): $1 million salary 2024-25 (39): $1 million salary 2025-26 (40): $1 million salary TOTAL: $110 million
Those signing bonuses are a killer for small market teams. There's a real possibility that Nashville doesn't have that kind of money to plunk down all at once. Those first two years by themselves, that's 26 million dollars in bonuses alone in less than a calendar year.
