I haven't been able to see much live action ... but is it really out of reach?
Feels like Iowa and Cornell are hanging around.
Score check?
If winning was easy even losers would do it.

No, it wouldn't.
The minute riding time would just add 1 match point at the end of the match.
Example: If the match finished 9-2, but the winner had a minute of riding time the final score would be 10-2
If winning was easy even losers would do it.

Record looks tough, but not sure what kind of competition he goes up against, whereas Wade is in the B10.

Penn State has a 18.5 point lead over second place Cornell. Penn State has 5 semi-finalist the most of any team.

Not even close to being over. We have almost a twenty point lead but the top schools will still score around 50 more points each. They could put it out of reach tonight though.

Here's a link to the Penn State wrestling club's site where they keep live scoring. You will notice that they have a column that lists the number of max points that every school could still conceivably score. So while we have 78.5 points so far, there are still 22 schools in theory that could past that number.
The reality however is that only four schools really have a chance to catch us. Cornell, Iowa, Minnesota, and Oklahoma State still have a shot. Also those schools have more kids in the wrestle backs this afternoon than we do so they will pick up points and close the gap as the afternoon goes on.
We'll still lead when the semifinals start tonight but it will be closer than the current lead that we have.

We talked about it last night, but if our guys lose in the top bracket, we need them to win one in the consolation round.
Of course, we need to ride our 4 main horses to the finals.
A poster mentioned we have 5 wrestlers in the semi finals. How does that compare to Cornell and Iowa?
- Thanks to Uncle Lar's link ... Cornell has 4 in the semi's as does Iowa. Minny, OkSt, and Lehigh have 3 in the semi's.
I imagine Oklahoma State did it a time or two, but anyone ever put 5 of their guys in the finals?
