Bosak was finally warned about grabbing the throat late in the match, but never lost a point. He was basically stalling the entire match to get to sudden victory after getting stomped early this season by Wright.

Its very satisfying that the Q/Bosak end didn't turn the team championship. 3 1's and 2 2's. Amazing.

That's a shame for Q. Bosak did nothing but stall for 7:30 with nary a warning and with most it that time spent with hands pushing into Q's throat. That scramble on Bosaks one shot is a crappy way to lose the individual title. Underserved victory for Cornell.
Great outing by the entire team though. Congrats boys!!

It's amazing how Cael has turned us into a powerhouse so quickly. In football a new coach comes in with new schemes and plays, etc. In wrestling what makes a good coach? Just recruiting? Does someone like Cael a great teacher and motivator? I know nothing about wrestling.

Not just recruiting, but it helps.
Also guys like Cael(who may decide to go for the Olympic team here soon) and his brother are capable of tangling with these young guys daily in the wrestling practices. Lot of technique and of course conditioning too. Coaching is important.
But the recruiting, with Cael being the name he is, and Pennsylvania being so high level in HS wrestling not to mention surrounding strong states, is a huge bonus

Good coaching and recruiting always helps.
Also, wrestlers don't have to sit out a year if they transfer so that helped us the first two years a little bit.
We have gotten some of the best recruits recently, nico, Macintosh, Ruth, Taylor were all studs. So we have 4 of some of the top guys at their weight coming out of high school to fill ten positions. Add in molinaro, wright and wade ... Heck I almost forgot the Alton twins who are very good.
If winning was easy even losers would do it.

Lest we forget, Cunningham is a national champion. He gives Q the best work to this day.

Technically while Cornell has three national champions, Penn State actually has nine.
Edit: And I refuse to recognize the Bozak title.

So who are we losing after this year? Molinaro, Wright...who else? Amazing that we still get Taylor and Ruth for two more years. Any redshirt guys we should look out for next year?

Congrats to Cael and the entire Penn State family. Especially happy that Frank got his title. Taylor and Ruth were awesome. Feel a little sad for Q. Proud as heck of this team.

I don't remember them saying that but Wright is definitely a junior.
Also, FTR, David Taylor is Sanderson's first national champion recruit. All the others who have won titles under Sanderson, specifically Wright, Molinaro, and Ruth, were all Sunderland kids. Troy deserves some props for bringing in some top notch kids.

I wonder if Kyle Dake is going to bump up to 166 and face Taylor. I really hope he does, because he came off like a cocky jerk in his interview and I want to see Taylor take him down a peg or two.

Dake is cocky as hell, but I don't blame him for it in that interview. Iowa fans are babies and wanted a stall call on him even though St. John didn't take a shot the whole tourny. I would have been pissed too.
