At last update.
PSU 124 5 Final/ 1 Consy
Minny 101.5 2 Final/ 4 Consy
Iowa 87.5 3 Final/ 2 ConsyIowa nearly eliminated with only 131 max right now if all guys win by pin.
Minny has 156 still possible and PSU with 162.5 still possible.
If winning was easy even losers would do it.

Choke is a pretty big word.
We have seven matches scheduled. We're the higher seed in three, lower seed in the four others. For starters, let's assume that losing to a higher seed isn't a choke, so that leaves us with the three fovorite bouts.
#1 seed Molinaro is wrestling a kid from Minnesota. For Minnesota to have a chance, they will have to win this match. While Frank has beaten Ness before, Frank hasn't looked the same since his leg injury on Thursday night. It's not out of the realm of possibility that Frank loses.
#1 seed Ed Ruth is wrestling the #3 seed Nick Amuchastegui of Stanford. Mooch is undefeated this year, is a returning NCAA runner-up, and is the last guy to have beaten Ruth. One has to wonder a bit why Ruth is even seeded ahead of Amuchastegui but a loss by Ed to him certainly wouldn't be consider a choke.
So that leaves Taylor. He will be a prohibitive favorite and if Minnesota wrestles really well this morning, Taylor's bout could be the one that clinches the team championship.
We will certainly know a lot more after this mornings round.
Minnesota has five guys wrestling. If they all win their bouts, they pick up 22.5 points (not even counting bonus points) and tie us before the finals even start (assuming Alton doesn't win either of his bouts - he'll be the lower seed in both).
If Minn just wins the bouts they are favored in this morning and they don't score any bonus points, they will gain nine points on us but that won't be enough to keep them in contention (they have to be within 12 points of us going into the finals to have a mathematical chance of tying us), To have a realistic chance, Minnesota probably has to pick up 19 points this morning. That's asking a lot but it's not out of the realm of possibility. Last year we racked up 11 points in the Saturday morning session with just two guys wrestling. Minnesota has five guys wrestling, so they certainly could pick up 19,

I think Ruth was ranked ahead of the two other undefeated due to his undefeated record and the strength of his competition.
Nick beat Ruth, but wasn't that when Ruth got hurt and subsequently forfieted his next match? It will be a great match and I'm looking forward to it.
The only match we 'should' lose tonight would be Nico and I'm not exactly in the market to bet against him, but the kid from Iowa is tough.
