Eh... what's the point? Despite having the most votes we ended up something like 16th in the first round. I have no idea how they are coming up with the scores, but is a BS contest that lacks any credibility.

Didn't a poster in the other thread say he/she used to work for EA and said they would never put PSU on the cover?

This isn't going to happen. Especially since the situation was publicized, more fanbases found out about it.

Yeah. I don't get it either. EA has Notre Dame receiving the most first-round "votes" and they had 10,000 less tallied than Penn State if you follow the link that I posted earlier in this thread. PSU finished #10. If anyone can figure out how they compile ALL of the votes, please let us know so we can respond appropriately. Thanks.

Then go look at the page and see the posts that are up for interaction....Bama, ND, aTm, Oregon etc with the chance for a lot of extra likes.

He asked for the link to the main page and their website that I referenced in an earlier post relating to other opportunities to vote and how ND won round 1 etc when they didn't have the most votes on the main voting post.

Yeah, there way of controlling the winner I am sure. If you scroll down the page where it says like if you think that 3 titles is a dynasty, there is 3500 votes for bama between the likes and comments.......at least that is how I read the main webpage.

Then the next is like to congratulate bama on their win with around 10 000 combined likes and comments....

Monday they had a like for ND and comment for bama.....17k likes.......4500 comments. pretty much leaves no chance for anyone but the teams they push.

Perhaps they will put up an option to like if you respect everything the PSU players did this year with a pic of #42 but I doubt it. LOL.

Yes, that was me. I was a marketing director at EA Sports from '07-'10. The intent of contests like this is to get people interacting with and talking about the game - smart marketing, but just they aren't going to let Penn State on the cover - not while on sanctions, not this soon. The "winner" will be one of a pre-determined list.

My advice is to not sweat it. We should be used to the bias by now, and things are looking up. Another few winning seasons, the public sentiment continues to turn in our favor, and maybe AB and Hack can get the '18 cover after we win it all in '17...
