Munchak Still In The Mix

  • Hopefully the link works..if not, I will summarize...Munchak is still in the mix. He is torn about what to do and realizes he can help restore order to his alma mater.
    IMO he is better than anyone out there!!
    I was real excited but then saw Joe Schad wrote this.

  • Joe Schad's been trying to pick Sekrah's brain for info. on Twitter. At this point there's so much smoke and mirrors going on with this search, that I won't believe anything until I hear it from Joyner's own lips.

    TIFWIW these are Sekrah's 7 finalists: Nick Saban, Les Miles, Mark Richt, Bo Pelini, David Shaw, Bret Bielema or Mike Gundy. If it turns out to be a current SEC coach then most likely it's Mark Richt. JMO.

    Sekrah, BTW has indicated that Munchak is part of the smoke screen and that the HC in waiting appreciates what Joyner has been doing to keep everyone guessing.

    I guess I just cant let Munchak go!! I really think he would be great for us..we need to be more physical and dominate at the line of scrimmage. I know I am dreaming. Too many damn vowels in his name!!

    Well, I agree Munch would be a perfect fit. And for all I know he is still in the mix. Looking at Sekrah's tweets, and he's put his reputation on the line, he's either right or he's either wrong. There is no half way. If he's right he gains a lot of "insider" creds. If he's wrong, no one will follow his tweets again.

    Either way, Joe Schad doesn't garnish anything from me. He's just another twit..ter out there blowing off.

  • John Taylor of NBC Sports is reporting the same thing.

    Taylors adds..that New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien and Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano could be viable replacements for Paterno. Schiano has already publicly denied any interest in the job, for what it’s worth.

  • I think he would be an excellent fit for PSU. IMO. Would be thrilled if Munch came here.

  • Even Sekrah is laughing at Joe Schad on twitter because Schad knows absolutely nothing about the search and is looking like a fool.
    It's probably not Munchak.
    But we have a guy in place and ESPN has no damn clue about who it is. Stop hanging on their words. A bunch of "reporters" in Bristol, CT with no connections to PSU whatsoever have absolutely no idea about our next head coach. So stop giving them the time of day and giving them more credit than they deserve.

    The only reason Schiano has no interest is because Penn State has zero interest in him.

    Well, this is true, but he's got PennState247 all atwitter now doesn't he! He's either a tool with no clue who is having a great time pulling our strings or else he's legit. And as some have posted on here, he's been right with his information more than wrong. I'm willing to wait it out. Heck the LO guys are just as anonymous to me with similar background. They get some stuff right and some stuff wrong.

    You have to look at the replies @sekrah. He never tweeted the actual names but someone who tweeted him did. And he responded "now your cooking with gas!" Later in his tweets he indicates that "I already narrowed it down to seven for you". Just reading between the lines. And deducing the related tweets and responses led to the list of 7 that I posted.
