If this is fact correct whats it to say he kills it with flying colors and Monday night we have a new head coach?

I suspect they will do their due diligence and interview the five or six guys they like most before making their decision. I just don't think they're going to shoot from the hip and grab someone quickly, given the immensity of this decision.

Not getting too excited just yet. I like Mullen but would prefer a few other names to be interviewed as well.

That opinion will be mean nothing to all of us. I like Mullen and am glad he is getting an interview. How he performs there and what type of staff he suggests he can put together, will determine what type of shot he has. Not to mention, whoever else emerges as a candidate.

Well that would make for some interesting pressers between Ron and Dan should Dan be our next head coach.

About a decaded ago when Iowa was looking for a coach, they told Bob Stoops (Iowa Alum) that they were going through the whole process, before offering thim the job. He told Iowa he was not waiting and he ends up going to Oklahoma.

Penn State better not mess this up. Remember Ohio St and Michigan's record against us.

No offense, but do you seriously think Stoops would've chosen Iowa over Oklahoma? Oklahoma is a top ten all-time program. Iowa isn't anywhere close. Regardless, Iowa fared just fine with Kirk Ferentz even if it didn't move fast enough for Bob Stoops. And even with a coach like Stoops, I doubt a program like Iowa could do much better than it has done under Ferentz, who at least has been very loyal to Iowa and didn't use it as a stepping stone.

Can anyone confirm because Mullen is telling a different story.
