Mike Hull

  • First time poster. I see a lot of Poz in Hull...the closing speed is very similar. On the hit on the QB yesterday (god, that was a great hit), Hull was on him so quick the QB couldn't react and this reminds me of those clips from the 2005 season when Poz consistently appeared to surprise the opposing players with how quickly he recognized the play and was on the ball carrier. Not saying Hull is Poz (he clearly has a long way to go and needs consistent playing time), but the potential is there.

Two other quick points: (i) I am so proud (if that is the right word) of Mauti after all he's been through; guy is playing inspired and productive football and is a man among boys. Hope he keeps it up; and (ii) I think our young DEs can be a strength for the next few years (Barnes, CJ, Z); we'll see how they handle B10 competition.

  • Agree with the thoughts in general. One of Hulls commitment quotes was that he hopes to be the next great PSU LB from western Pa. Hope that turns out to be the case as I have been one of his biggest fans. For being "small" that young man is Jacked! :)

  • He reminds me a little of Bowman. Both are shorter guys, but are really put together. They look like they were shot out of a cannon when they come to hit you.
