  • Can you guys monitor your boards? It seems that everytime some one comes on this site and gets into a discussion with someone threads are being locked and posts are being deleted, not to mention people being banned. This is a free forum for anyone that wants to stop by and have a discussion. This isn't like Farenheit 451 where books should be burned and people aren't allowed to talk to others. I can't speak for everyone but I don't curse or blame however I do question peoples viewpoints on things. Because I have a differing opinion I have been called and idiot and an uneducated 12 year old (thats my favorite). The Mods on this site should not be a group that censors others opinions. I can understand some being banned for biligerent behaviour or cursing at people but come on, shutting down a discussion because someone has a differing opinion, you should be better than this :)

    I don't pay to read the uneducated radical opinions of dozens of fans from other sites about how bad PSU is. I applaud the mods for their work.

  • Knowing all the mods on this site, I can assure you that not one of them would shut down a thread simply for someone having a differing opinion.

  • The mods have done an admirable job keeping trash off of this site. In reality they have been very fair with what they've let people post. Don't post garbage and you aren't in any danger of it being deleted or a thread locked. Keep up the Good work guys.

    I apologize but I beg to differ with you. Any site on 247 that is free can be MY site, I do enjoy discussing things with individuals and no other site I have been on has garnered so much ridicule. I enjoy going to other teams sites and discussing issues with their fanbase. Thats is part of what these forums are for, a place where people with like interests (sports and college football) can have discussions. I applaud those of you who are sticking with your team through all of this because being a fan of any university should be just that, a fan of the university. Sports at times become much to powerful in these organizations and that is how these transgression occur. I think not only is it an issue at PSU but rather it is an NCAA wide issue driven by the amount of money that is involved with major sports programs. PSU is the university under the microscope at the moment but soon that torch will be passed to some other unwelcome recipient. Be it PSU, tOSU,OU, UoM, or whatever institution it may be there is a systemic problem that needs to be addressed and thats how all of the money perverts the individuals involved with all of these programs. Until the $$$$$$$$$ are controlled issues will continue to arise across the entire country because "Money is the root of all evil"

    talbert, the fact that you were able to start this thread means that you were not banned/blacklisted. I have no idea if any of your posts have been deleted, but Freeh would consider this "reasonable" proof that YOU are not being censored. If you cannot decipher which threads should be locked and posters banned, please ask your mods how they handled Tatgate.

    Others have already mentioned, but I'll keep it simple and to the point.

    1. The same topic being restarted, rehashed, or relabeled in numerous threads will result is those threads being locked. Most of the time a reason is given or if you look down a few topics you will see a conversation about the same topic.
    2. Trolling and flaming will result in thread deletion and a ban.

    In my personal experience, as a mod here, over the last week I banned several OSU and MSU posters. Certainly they each had an opinion, but resorted to name calling or other non value added means to express their opinion. Instead of allowing for constructive conversation they used this forum to disrespect posters and the university. That's not going to happen on this site.

    If winning was easy even losers would do it.

    Quit being a f'in baby. We don't care what you have to say. We already know your stance. You are doing nothing more than inflaming things.

    You have been called a numbnut as well.

    If you want to bring a rational opinion, based on facts and what the NCAA's jurisdiction is, that is one thing. Bringing an uneducated opinion is another.
