I mean Joe can obviously connect the dots, and he was clear that he didn't SEE penetration, but if Joe asks, "So what do you think happened Mike?" And you talk about rhytmic slapping, just say it. Talking about rhytmic slapping is pretty explicit... We are talking about rape here, we are all adults. SAY IT

    Correct. The grand jury presentment writer took a huge liberty putting the terms 'anal rape' and 'sodomy' into the document. Personally I think that was borderline criminal and played a big part in the 'public's conviction' of JoePa.

    Good point on the perjury point, but with failure to report, it was my understanding that Schultz was Curley's superior. And according today's testimony Schultz held a great deal of power with regards to police, and it almost seemed standard PSU policy to report to him criminal and safety matters. It seems like Curley did in fact report - and then just acted as Schultz's mouthpiece. Of course it's the perjury that is a felony. His testimony to the GJ will be interesting.

    Finally, it is incredibly hard to read this stuff and try to be objective, because it's always on your head that it's children this stuff is happening to. Well done tdiddy. This is brutal testimony to recap.

    I don't think Curley reported to Schultz. I think that they were both Dept Heads who reported directly to Spanier. Curley's responsibility was to report to CYS. Schultz never relayed any message within his own Dept and looks very guilty.

    My main lingering question now...where is Spanier's testimony? Why has he not been involved in this process yet whatsoever? These guys undoubtedly talked to him. That's where the real dirt happened.

    well for one thing McQ just said he never saw anal rape or sodomy. For another, he made Joe well aware they Sanduaky sexually molested a child in the shower. Not using "anal rape" is absolutely no defense for Paterno, Curley, or Schultz. All of them were absolutely told that a crime involving a child was comitted in PSU facilities. JoePa took the correct course of actions, and may have done more. But the.defense of "not knowing a crime occured", is not a valid one

    The whole nation comdemned the Duke Lacrosse team before the trial too dipsitck. Why not wait until the facts are on the table before you convict a fan base or someone not even charged with a crime.     Look at my edit... I edited it because I realized I was not thorough enough and a reply like this would happen... I realize that he did not say "rape", but if the convo with Joe is happening and Joe is putting the dots together right there and asks MM flat out "So what do you think happened here Mike, what are you tellin me?" MM thought Sandusky was MOLESTING a kid... Rape, fondling, etc. WHO CARES.     I think Joe should have done more and agreed with him being fired... I didn't agree with the way the BOT did it (thought it was classless). But there are plenty of us that are older and were OK with Joe being gone... However, to go out there and bash an entire alumni, school, fan base, shows very little class or perspective on your part. I personally know someone that was molested and take this situation very seriously. You are an assclown.

    So by telling the head of campus police, a man who worked closely with the chief, and whom everyone at PSU retorted to with matters of a criminal or safety issue, and then following up with the eye witness to see if it was resolved to his satisfaction, Joe covered up a crime? Joe really sucks at covering up.

    Who's reality? The DA is not prosecuting him... I do not know for a fact whether it was a cover up or not... Should he have done more- absolutely in my mind. I take child molestation very seriously. And IMO, he should be gone for dumb ass negligence (unless it comes out that Spanier or someone censored him from doing more- but which I see as unlikely because Joe basically said no to being fired by Curley and Spanier in 2004, he appeared to be god and answered to no one)... But there is very little evidence to say that it was an active cover up... What reality are you living in?
