Not only did I not start that thread, I didn't even comment in it. Nice try though.
What you think are "fanboys" are simply people who give him credit when he deserves it. I've never once said he's a very good quarterback, let a lone heisman talk. The point is that people like you refuse to accept the fact that he's having a good season. You'll look for any excuse not to give him credit and any other person to give credit to.
I actually know him. I'm not friends with him, but unfortunately for you, you don't know more about "young Mr. McGloin" than I do. At the end of the day, who cares?

Given that you made the 5th post in a thread you say didn't comment in, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you can't see that, just like some will never like him no matter what, some will never criticize him no matter what, and actually laud his antics and criticize receivers for failing to catch a terribly thrown pass of his (like the OSU game). Many people are in-between, but they exist regardless of your awareness of them. Fanboys start threads like the Heisman one, which, since I guess you're the guy from Memento, was actually here and started with what I can only presume was a straight face.

That would be 23 "Official" pts. and assuming the PAT is good on the Lehman TD....= 30.
Two turnovers inside the 10 however is not going to beat the caliber of a NEB team in Lincoln.

What are you talking about? If you can show me this comment you are referring to, I will eat my words. I for one cannot find it though. I've yet to meet a person in this world who hasn't criticized him. I also did not criticize his receivers. You really need to stop making generalizations and acting like I said them...No kidding there are many people in between, but there are also many who refuse to give him any credit whatsoever...Again, not only did I not start the thread, but I didn't even comment in it. Nice job making yourself look ridiculous though.

Oh, so now you gave up on the I started the McGloin for Heisman thread when you realized you were wrong right? Makes sense...I said I didn't comment in the Heisman thread, genius, not this one. Man, you are really sad. Attacking me when you're all over the place.

Listen MM did you know what this year...he got mad at a WR for dropping a ball. He showed emotion when scoring almost like DC did or M Rob did. He's everything that's wrong with our society as at 20+ years of age he wasn't as perfect as some of the angels that grace PSU and this board. That means his play has been mediocre when those that are pouring the hatorade now assume everyone has him in Canton since he has exceeded just about everyones expectations. Kill MM, he was young and dumb and still may be. It should be a huge concern to you and impact your life. This thread is genius. Everyone knows he is much better this year, but you aren't suppose to say that without pissing on his feet because he was dumb and young. Plain and simple he is playing better. Completing more passes. Making less mistakes. I don't care if people don't like him, but to sit here and act as if there are perfect QB's out there that don't force balls or make mistakes is ludicrous.
I tell you what living 1200 miles away from PSU is hard to do, everyone down here just constantly talks about how f-ed up our QB is on and off the field. LOL, nobody notices this crap outside the little PSU bubble and people need to realize 100 plus guys are up there and they have never ever been all saints. I love LA for his time at PSU but he was every bit the pompous arse MM was and he grew up off the field. Then again, he was an AA so it's ok to be that way...not hypocritical though. It's a part of life and I get the college kids still hung up on him, but no grown man should be that hung up on a college kid IMO.

The Mox throws for over 200 yards, 2 tds (yep) and one pick on the road against one of the best pass defenses in college football in high wind conditions and people cry. He's not a great player, but he has been good this year. People just don't like him because he has a bit of a$$hole to him... who cares. McGloin led the offense to 30 points (yep) against Nebraska on the road. That's pretty satisfactory.

I'm really enjoying this thread (sarcasm) but let me ask a question. If you knew nothing about McGloin's history and he played anywhere besides Penn State (with all the issues surrounding the program), would you be impressed with his performance? Would you consider his season to date good or great? He will end up breaking school records and has an outstanding TD/INT ratio, but is only ranked 54th in the country in passer efficiency. Something just doesn't sit well with that for me.

Point I was trying to make earlier.
I still don't see why I can't be frustrated for all the things I posted in the OP. Yes, some of these mistakes happen at every level, but they're still mistakes that are correctable.

Eh, QB rankings today in CFB are pretty much useless to me. Half of these teams are running video game offenses. The bottom line is that a very strong case could be made for MM to win if there was a national Most Improved Player Award. He's had a very good season, and it's just disappointing that people still have to take shots at him.

He has actually done a much better job this year with almost all of them. There isn't a QB that has ever lived that never made those same mistakes. So in fact, maybe they aren't correctable unless you get an OL that NEVER allows pressure. Mistakes are a part of football and you can't name a QB that is still breathing on this planet that doesn't do what you listed. Some limit it better than others, but they still occur. Name a QB that doesn't force a ball or miss reads? The simple fact is those who were his biggest critics still start looking for his faults is almost funny at this point. You win, MM isn't perfect. Nobody has ever thought that. He has played better, but in saying that you're a fanboy. Yet those same people that had such a great eye for Bolden and PJ being 10 times the QB MM was can't even admit that they completely missed the mark there. They weren't even close, not even remotely close. They just didn't like the kid himself. It's just easier to say MM still screws up...got it. MM's an arse off the field so we should keep hammering until the end. The whole team was crapped on this year, but we should keep on hammering the evil red head who as ruined football in HV....and I'm not talking about McQueary. What has he really done on or off the field this season to bring shame to the school? He got upset over a missed ball or bad play, yeah, we never see QB's or coaches react to that stuff.
Objective outlook, he's honestly better than most gave him credit for. He's not playing beyond the next 2 weeks. We'll find someone new to hate at PSU as that is just what we do.

Making legitimate criticisms about a CFB player doesn't equate to taking shots at somebody.
Why people are so sensitive about McGloin makes no sense to me. Nobody else on the team gets this kind of defense when criticized, it's ridiculous.
