Rumors are starting to float that Maryland may be headed to the B1G. Some are claiming expansion, others are claiming that PSU will be ejected from the B1G.

Apparently it was reported on a Maryland radio station and it's been talked about on the Maryland board. I can't see everything that is being said but one guy claims to know that they are atleast talking. Some are claiming that it's to kick PSU out but most seem to think it would just be expansion with the B1G also getting a school like UVA or Ga Tech.

Sounds like Tech is the Pitt of the South if they can't carry Atlanta market.
I have been all for adding a couple ACC schools because this conference needs to get somewhere with growing markets. Beggars can't be choosers, and if this conference truly wants to expand, this will be the type of the schools they land due to Delany's utter ineptitude at his expansion attempt a couple years ago.

I'm gonna have to disagree on this one, adding Nebraska was a great addition to the B1G. Great tradition with a VERY loyal fanbase. The B1G wants to adds schools that either move the needle in terms on viewership and exposure or that open up lucrative markets. Nebraska def. moves the needle and short of adding Texas or ND there wasn't a better realistic option to add.

What I said wasn't a knock on Nebraska. When Delany warned other conferences we were expanding, he thought we could buy whoever we wanted. Other conferences (PAC and SEC) solidified and became competitors in the expansion race. ACC schools increased buyouts and now the Big XII has their TV rights locked up.
Nebraska fans are great and so is their football tradition, but the Nebraska market is not exactly Texas. If Delany wouldn't have announced his intentions to the world we could have gotten Nebraska and more.
