I'm curious to see if another school doesn't try and steal Rutgers spot. I'm assuming most schools were caught off guard by this move and if a better school than Rutgers came along and asked for the 14th spot. I wonder if the B1G would listen?

Thought the same thing. MD is the #1, Rutgers obviously the team to #14. Would love to be fielding the calls Delaney is right now.

I also wonder if despite everything that's happened that this wasn't a move by the B1G to appease PSU. I know it was for a lot of other reasons but PSU was the school pushing for more eastern schools and I find it interesting that the B1G added 2 schools basically in PSU's backyard.

Yep, instead of assisting PSU at their hour of need he piled on like everyone else. In the mean time, when OSU came crying he stepped in on their behalf.

Delaney is probably #5 on my SH*T list behind Sandusky, Emmert, Erickson and Freeh in that order. Collectively the BoT is right up there tied for #5.

There are things Delaney could've done differently on some things, but as far as negotiating contracts and expanding the BIG and bringing money to the schools, he's been awesome.

The biggest thing I like about him and the previous regime as well, they didn't accept Notre Dame's request to join the BIG but keep football out. I love the fact the BIG has said it's all or nothing. The ACC caved, and I'm not sure why any conference cares if Notre Dame is in the conference for all other sports, but not the only sport Notre Dame fans tune in for......

I imagine the financials worked out.

Biggest $ decision he made was bringing in PSU, the wealthiest sports team in the B1G. Only Texas and ND are richer.

There is definitely an air of fight here in Happy Valley. Not only did the NCAA sanction us for not violating any single NCAA rule, but they gave us worse than the death penalty. All based on the OPINION of Louis Freeh, who btw reached that opinion based on paltry factual (LOL) evidence (another LOL).

The BoT threw Joe under the bus to distract attention away from their own culpability.

No, he isn't allowing PSU to dip into the pot of money that they get from Bowls. PSU gets TV money which is fine. OSU had to pay back theirs from the year they shouldn't have gone. Though I do believe they get cash for this year. Either way, can't be mad at that sanction, we're suspended from bowls, we should be suspended from the money. Especially when considering the PR aspect. I have more of a bone to pick from the NCAA.
