  • Good find. Hopefully he can creep up into the low 90s next year when he is recovered from his ACL surgery and we can have 1 four star right off the bat to shove in Mike Farrell's face.

    As he should. Regardless of how much anyone dislikes him, he'd be doing his own business a disservice to rely on anyone else's rankings. Overall though, I don't like the guy at all.

  • I could care less about stars but recruits love them and pay attention to them. Allen is a very solid start to 2014 class and him having a decent ranking can only help with other top end recruits.

    A running back coming off an ACL? The only grade you should give is an INC. Let's hope he fully recovers. I'm still suspicious of the timing of the injury and commitment. But then again, I'm the suspicious type.

    I might question who the staff doesn't offer, but not the one's that they do. I've been very impressed with their ability to recognize talent.

    Yup. And therein lies the future of Penn State's commit ratings on Rivals. In order to prevent himself from looking like an ass, he simply doesn't have to let any PSU commit be rated above 3 stars. It's easy to do when you control the system.

  • Hate to sound pessimistic but the injury may work to PSU's favor. With getting burnt on recruits in the past hoping on PSU then leaving and going somewhere else, or using PSU as a "place holder" if this kid is legit it will work in our favor to keep him out of the summer camp circuit. I hope him nothing but the best in health I just don't want anybody else to come sniffing around.

    Well, to a certain degree. Lets say we land a guy like Blanding next year........he can't pull that for highly rated guys.
