March Big Board Voting...

  • Should be interesting to see the results here. For those of you who are new, we set up Penn State's Big Board (example linked below) with a formula that combines need, interest and talent level to see who are the top priorities on the board for Penn State. Where you come into it is that we ask you for your top 20 prospects based on this formula. If you could, please put the numbers beside their names to make it easier on me, and no 1a, 1b, etc.

Here is the list of offered prospects to work off of:

I hear ya... it was understandable, but it's still sickening! Last year could easily have been a top 15 class.

Ha. Thought the same. 2 of the 15 ended up Lions, but you've got to say there were some extenuating circumstances. Another 4 were committed at one point, and Penn State was in a good position with 3-4 others at various times in the process.

  • Not one person has included Mahon who, if offered, may be our first commit. Anyways on to the show.

    1. Adam Breneman: Even though I am one of the people who firmly believe that recruiting PA and "locking it down" is overrated, this kid is a top kid in our back yard. This isn't locking it down, this is us announcing to the nation that we are back.
    2. Chirsitan Hackenberg: Honestly, one of the best QBs in this class, especially among pro-style (good bye me caring about dual threat QBs). BOB you were hired because of Brady connections, prove it.
    3. Ryan Burns: I am not totally sold on Burns, he eerily reminds me of Bolden. However, you want to start a recruiting class of you need a centerpiece, and that's a QB. Proving time BOB, to the world and your fans.
    4. Dorian Johnson: You want to win in the B1G, be dominant up front. Frankly this kid has LT written all over him, with one of th ebest HS kick sets I have seen on film. Also announces to Pitt that we will strike in Western PA, b*tch.
    5. Alex Anzalone: OSU fans think he's a lock, I like that is brother is here (in more ways than one). Kids a national recruit with some serious talent. We are LBU, We Are Penn State. Make it happen captain.
    6. Ryan Switzer: I've seen him ranked lower. Some may be because we have WRs, some may be due to competition. Mine is because I do not want to let a guy who longs to commit while on campus get away. F that. Plus, this kid has skillz, especially for a white boy from WV lol.
    7. David Williams: Big time recruit. Big time wheels. Not may favorite RB prospect, but not one I would shake a stick at. Could fit the spread well, and we need at least one in the class.
    8. Garrett Sickels: He likes us, now lets stay onhim and finish it off. Kid is a very good prospect out of NJ. We need to get back into Jersey.
    9. Ross Douglas: Frankly, I know little aboutt his kid. Saw that he "loved" his visit here, but ever since, not a peep from him. We need DBs, ask rmj. And he gets us into Ohio and a quality ball player. Nice.
    10. Brendan Mahon: Hey it took me long enough, right? Listen, I'll be the first to admit OGs are easier to find, you can always kick down a lot of tackles. But this kid is something we haven't had as a OG in awhile. We go after those 6'2, 6'3 kids with stocky builds, short arms. Not him, long arms, good athleticism, and an "I will hurt you" mentality in the trenches.
    11. Robert Foster: As far as talent goes, he's at the top of this list. I think the kid wants to stay home, I hope Hixon tells him to come here. I have been impressed with the staff's handling so far.
    12. Jonathan Allen: Now comes to where talent and need start to take over in the list. Take a look at this kid and you'll get what I mean.
    13. Deveon Smith: Personally my favorite back in the class. Good speed, but has the legs of a tree trunk. That's the most important feature in a big-time RB.
    14. Buddy Brown: He's fallen on my list. Why? He won't visit, and that kills me.
    15. Rod Crayton: Yeah...160 tackles, 10 sacks, Nose Guard. LJ loves him and he wants out of Alabama. Just a hoss in the middle.
    16. Mike McGlinchey: So low because I haven't heard much on him or seen film. But at 6'9 and physically still filling out he could be a great OT prospect for us. And we need those.
    17. Marcus Newby: Another guy I haven't heard all that much about, and would LOVE to hear more.
    18. Michael Deeb: True MLB and a throwback. He may not be the best athlete on the board, but the kid makes sure you're tackled. Anytime Vandy signs off on a LB offer, I believe. Kid reminds me of Zordich, not only the way he plays but his wild and crazy attitude also.
    19. Devin Butler: Big offers, big need, big area to get in to. Bout all there is.
20.. Rashard Kinlaw: This kid proves healthy, I want to be all over him like a fat kid on cake (see: Me on my birthday). Kids an elite athlete and may be flying a bit under the radar.

So yeah some guys that y'all didn't have on there. But hey, I'm different and you're wrong cool

EDIT: Put McGlinchey in at 16, bumped everyone down. Zayd Issah is off the list.
