  • If i remember right,,, wasnt he teh Attorney General of the State when this was supposed to happen,,, Why didnt he do his job, instead of trying to pass the blame.

  • From day one he has been pinning this on Paterno. The ball was in his court for THREE YEARS and he barely did anything about it. Then, he leaves to be mayor and the new AG gets things done. What a sleazy POS Corbett is. I'm embarrassed that I voted for him. no

EDIT: Mayor??? WTF am I talking about??? LOL! Governor.

  • Corbett could have had Sandusky in handcuffs years earlier, but was too busy accepting donations from The Second Mile to make it a priority. Wish I still lived in PA so I could vote against him next election.

One of the aspects of this case that is the most interesting (and potentially frightening) to me is the money trail of The Second Mile. Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from Lester Freeman in The Wire: "You follow the drugs, you get drug addicts and drug dealers. But you start to follow the money, and you don't know where the f*** its gonna take you."

Nice post paupacklion. But, I think this guy has already dug his own grave as far as the next election goes. It's ironic how quiet he's been since all of the stuff has gone down, and how when he was AG he let it go..

    See ya Tom!

  • He a snake in the grass and he just doesn't "get it." The problem is that he NEVER WILL because he is so pumped up on thinking that he is so important.
Let's stick together and show him how important he ISN'T! Simple as ABC!pray

  • I'm not a fan of Corbett's role in all of this, but I think the title of the article is misleading...

"Pa. governor: Joe Paterno SHOULD have done more"

He actually said that he WISHED Joe had done more. Even Joe said he wished he had done more. I think we all do.

    Crappy reporting IMO.

I didn't think his statements were actually that bad. Though in reality I don't think there was much more Joe could have done anyway.

  • His press conference following the scandal should be an case study for years in academia on how to not conduct a press conference concerning a scandal......This is not the first and certainly not the last skeleton to slip out of this dude's closet
