MMA Fans Phil Davis fight tonight

with all that has gone on over the past week I almost forgot about Phil fighting on Fox tonight. A little background... His opponent Rashad Evans(loudmouth punk from MSU) said a little while back that he was going to touch Phil Davis worse than Sandusky did those kids, yesterday at the weight in Davis was rocking his PSU singlet. Can't wait to see this fight, I have hated Rashad Evans since his debut the The Ultimate Fighter show back on the day.

I am so pumped for this fight. I just REALLY hope either Davis wins or loses in a close fight. With all the trash talking and anti-PSU stuff Evans has been spewing, it would be depressing if Davis gets destroyed.
Don't think that will happen though...

Felt the same way about Evans since the beginning. Nice seein Phil reppin the Penn State gear.

Can't wait for tonight! I sort of hate MMA, and prefer boxing really. However, Phil won a national title my freshman year at PSU, which was probably the genesis of my interest in the PSU wrestling program.
I really hope he can get him to the ground and do his thing. Rashad needs to be dominated after saying what he said.

Hey! I'm new on the board, trying out the 30 day thing. Its funny that my first post is on MMA. I'm pumped to watch Phil Davis, hes actually a really nice guy. When I was up at school he was neighbors with a friend of ours and came out to a couple of tailgates. He's a WAY better wrestler than Rashad Evans too, as long as he doesn't get knocked out, he should probably take this.

Is this the Marquee match tonight? I see there's 2 other bouts on the slate. I want to make sure I tune in for Davis v. Evans at the right time. I'm a PSU wrestling fan, but not much into UFC/MMA.

Spike has a good replay card on right now with some nice fighters if anyone needs a warm up.
Sonnen vs. Bisping on the live card as well. also, and I can also route against Bisping

Looks like the main card is getting delayed a bit, unlike the prelims...they look to be announcing the fighters are scheduled start time rather than starting, where as in the prelims the fights were underway...hope this helps..

First fight was like watching paint dry.
If that's how you perform due to a weight cut, then you need to stay in your natural weight class.

Based on attitude alone, the average fan should be a fan of Davis. Evans has an attitude that is so far from the precepts of martial arts.

Weidman took the fight on 11 days notice. Hard to blame the guy for struggling with the cut. Most guys tend to have a two month camp to prepare for a fight.
Maia has no excuse though.
