  • Great read. With all the uncertainties surrounding tight end position last year, I'm really excited about the outlook of this unit moving forward.

Great coachable kids, who are proving that they can play and be difference makers on a national level. What I love even more is that they do it on run and pass plays. They catch and block and seem to take pride in both.

  • Yes, considering just two years ago we were forced to play the last TE on the roster, a true frosh, we've come a long way in stocking some talent.

And here's where you give credit to the old staff for recruiting kids that are great student athletes, and credit to the new staff for maximizing their talents. Remember, as awesome as the position was in 2012, they were all Paterno era recruits.

I cannot even imagine the broad grins on the faces of Carter / James / Wilkerson / Gilliam when they found out that BOB was the new coach. Had to be fist pumping there!

    Awesome.

    Awesome.

Yes, Paterno era recruits who never would have realized their potential in a Paterno era offense. God bless Joe, but we didn't use the TEs, or the middle of the field, in a decade or more.

  • I hope we use a 4 TE set every once in a while. With the talent we have at TE IMO that would be hard to defend especially in the red zone.

  • Hands down the best and most talented TE group in the nation (maybe not individually, but as a whole unit)..
