Agree completely. And hope we're correct. I'll be very interested to see how he makes his intentions known, though. How he says it, in what venue, at what point in time, etc.

I'd have to say yes. It has taken a while, but I believe Joe is realizing that he is no longer capable of performing the duties necessary from a head coach. While he tried hard over the past year to hold on (ex-walking all around State College to get exercise), getting run over by Moo Moo has forced the issue.

Now that he arrives to the stadium in an SUV instead of the team bus and doesn't stand on the sidelines during the game, I hope he knows it's time.

We can only hope...

I am torn, I want to believe that Joe knows he needs to retire for the best of the team/university/fans. The problem is I fear he is too sturbborn to do so...

I say no. I really thought last year was gonna end it. When that didn't, I decided I would never again bet on Joe being gone.

The fact that Bobby Bowden is still going strong has to be a good thing in Joe's eyes. More incentive to hang it up and move on to other stuff.

I think WE DO HAVE a new head football coach at Penn State next season!

I think this is the end for Joe. I agree with earlier statements that he will do it after the regular season and before a bowl game.

I think yes, this is the year it happens. I think Joe, by doing it this year, goes out with a tremendous amonut of potential goodwill. Also, I think he hits it out of the park if he helps bring in a successor like Urban Meyer, for example. I think this kind of gesture would go along way in healing a lot of the negative feelings that some fans have towards Joe and his family.

I believe this his last. But only Joe can answer that for sure. I would almost have to believe that the admin looks around sees empty seats and hears the complaints from the fans and boosters. They almost have to do something, every year there seems to be health issues or some kind of problems with joe. In my opinion it's in everyone's best interest if Joe hangs it up, I want to remember him for his greatness and not the joe we have been getting the last couple of years.
