Looking ahead to '12 schedule...

  • Not the easiest OOC slate, 3 bowl teams, 2 bowl winners and Navy, who gave some good teams a run for their money last year. I don't see any games where we'll likely be a 20+ favorite in the OOC slate, this team better be ready week 1. While Ohio is a bowl winner, there shouldn't be a reason we don't win that by at least 2 touchdowns. Navy had a down year last year but played a bunch of teams tough and that offense presents special challenges, and Temple, who knows if they can keep it up, but they were 9-4 with a bowl win. The biggest threat in that mix is going to UVA week 2, an up and coming team looking for a signature win, this one worries me, I think we'll find out a lot about the new look team pretty early this year....

    It's a pretty solid OOC schedule but by no means daunting. Ohio actually ended up 10-4 (beat temple and were MAC east division champs, lost to Rutgers by 12). We know that Temple has been fairly good as of late and they crushed MD last year. There is definitely the chance for us to slip up this coming season if BOB doesn't get our shit together. However I feel pretty confident that we'll come out on top in most if not all of these games. We've got the better talent overall and our front 7 on D should remain strong and be able to shut them down. Hopefully with the upgrade in S&C this year we can get a nice boost on the O line and finally be able to field a respectable offense that will put points on the board.

    We're defitnelty going to know how this season will be played out by the time confrence play comes.. 4 dangerous but not tough opponents...

  • Ohio had me slightly worried a couple of months ago, but with a new staff and a new energy I expect the team to come out and win by 21+.
