3) I don't know if we need that home run threat from the RB position. It would be nice, but our offense doesn't depend on it. Control the ball and strike thru the air when the opportunities are there. It is effective. We'd all like to see Belton break a 50-yd TD run against the Buckeyes. But I'll smile just as broadly if we can be a ball control pass-run offense and score.

Dukes apparently considered Syracuse(?) in August but that might have been him pursuing them more than vice versa. Plus he sat out spring to concentrate on academics, so that put him behind in learning BOB's offense. With Day and Zordich gone next year and a full spring practice in 2013, Dukes will have a fair shot to be in the mix next fall, if he has the resolve to stick it out.
